This is a great casting choice if it all works out.

Oh please let it be Nicholas Hoult. Not sold on Pattinson at all. Can't see him as Batman at all.

Pattinson is way too skinny but then so it Hoult
I guess we are getting a twig for Batman no matter which way you cut it.

Then again they are going for a young detective version of the character so it might fit

Or he works out/bulks up for the role. You know, like A LOT of actors do for these types of roles.

Anyway he's turned out to be a good character actor, so I'm fine with this choice for now at least.

Pattison feels like a great choice for a younger Batman. I love Nicolas Hoult but I don't see him as Batman .

Yeah Christian Bale went from the Machinist to Batman Begins in a year and a half. Hook up Pattinson with a Hollywood training program + your usual steroids and he's all ready to go

Neither of these guys strike me as Batman-like but I think we’ve learned from Affleck, Keaton, Ledger, etc. that some castings that seem wrong can turn out very right.

I’m willing to give him a chance. And besides, the whole point of the Bruce Wayne/Batman dynamic is that you wouldn’t suspect a certain person to be a hardened badass like the dark knight.

Between being cast in a Christopher Nolan film and being cast in this role Pattinson really hit the jackpot for his career.

The guy who played Edward Cullen has now graduated to Bruce Wayne.

I admit a part of me would have a hard time taking Pattinson seriously as Batman but I'm willing to give him a chance and see what they do with it.

I'm not doubting his skills as an actor so it's really more of the writing and what Reeve's interpretation of Batman is.

And then lost all that muscle for Rescue Dawn and never put it back on for the sequels.

I'm getting some serious Michael Keaton nostalgia from these reactions to Robert Pattinson being cast as Bruce Wayne.

Anyone who claims to remember the reactions to Michael Keaton's casting for 89 is really showing their age, just fyi.

Cosmopolis, The Lost City of Z, The Rover, and I've heard good things about High Life, etc. People judging his acting solely by Twilight are REALLY not getting the bigger picture. Heck he was good in the fourth Harry Potter film as well.

It's common movie knowledge, age doesn't really matter.
