Ah. I only watched like the first Marvel Rising thing.

Hmm, going strictly by what this says and then knowing Hollywood's habits, I would say Ella Balinska the actress in the new Charlie's Angels movie is probably someone who's being looked at.

These are some good choices, some of them I feel could also try their hand at playing other DC heroines.

Christian Bale throws his support behind Pattison as Batman.

What else is he supposed to do, trash him? When Affleck was cast, not a single former Bat actor said a bad word about him. And to think that idiots got a "betterBatmanthanBenAffleck" hashtag trending on twitter after he was cast. lol

Cyborg is in Teen Titans Go! (which got a theatrical movie!), Young Justice, live action Doom Patrol, and many of the animated DTV movies - both the main PG13 line up and the Lego series. To say DC/WB isn't doing anything with Cyborg is wrong. He is well represented in animation currently, and a bit in live action recently too.
I was referring to the comic book side. That acts like throwing crumbs is acceptable for ANY character.

How is it the tv and movie side can find stuff to make not only Cyborg but a LOT of folks interesting but the comic side can't-speaks VOLUMES.

Especially when they were given a HEAD start versus that other company.

But you mentioned TV specials, YA novels, and Halloween costumes? That's not the comic book side?

Comics are a more niche medium than the other, more lucrative areas.
We know that other media success doesn't trickle down to comic book sales even for bigger characters than Cyborg. Who is a great character, but was also designed to be part of an ensemble cast he's been cut off from and his history erased.

I feel like DC wouldn't have to keep race-bending characters if they had good POC characters to begin with. I get wanting big name characters, but at least use someone like onyx or Cassandra.

They do have great POC characters, unfortunately Hollywood execs would rather take the big name character and change their race than promote a already existing one that’s great but lesser known. John Stewart, Vixen, Black Lightning, Bumblebee, Mister Terrific, Firestorm, Blue Beetle, Jessica Cruz, Bane, Kyle Rayner, Ryan Choi, Lady Shiva and Cheshire are all popular POC characters yet to be introduced in the DCEU, so hopefully they’ll pop up someday.

Though to DC’s credit they’ve given us Cyborg, Amanda Waller, Katana, El Diablo, Killer Croc, Black Manta, Pedro Peña, Darla Dudley, Eugene Choi, Cassandra Cain and Renee Montoya on the big screen, with Black Adam on the way soon, so they are using original POC characters too (Let’s hope Idris is playing Bronze Tiger!). So far it seems like Aquaman, Black Canary and Deadshot are the only major race swaps, with Catwoman possibly joining them soon.

Did you miss that Cass is appearing in Birds of Prey?

DC uses original poc characters all the time in addition to racebending.

I did, but even still I why racebend the character with other options?

"Options" being the key word here. Racebending and using original poc are not mutually exclusive. Both help with diversity.

More people watch TV than read comics, so yeah, they're doing good by Cyborg.
