Didn't she say the opposite? That a WW3 would be set in contemporary times.
Done with DC. Can't handle the constant whiplash! Time to go on a hiatus!

D'oh! Was rewriting my piece, and obviously failed to get all my ducks in a row!

I hate to say it, but if WB want these DC films to work...some recasting needs to be done to make these films work a bit better. I mean I rather have a YOUNG Batman to work with a YOUNG Superman.

In other words...despite casting them....time and age is the real enemy here...that and less Studio interference would make these films work a bit more, right ?

If we can't get a reboot entirely...then maybe the soft reboot is the way to go ?

It's almost like building a universe off of an old Batman was a bad idea.

I mean, Affleck's Batman never seemed that old.

The real issue just seems to be Affleck's personal problems and the negative fallout to practically every movie he's been in as Batman.

A man in his 40's is not old.

Probably has more of an "old athlete" effect. Sort of like a roster with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar flanked by talented rookies and in-their-prime stars.

I personally think since they've moved away from the "Big Two" they should focus on Wonder Woman and make her the leader of the new crop of heroes. Of course we'll have to see if they eventually recast Superman or Batman or perhaps keep Cavill but only recast Batman, and then what they do with Flash, Cyborg and potentially a new Green Lantern.

They never should have started with dark knight returns for batman and should not have done death of superman in his SECOND movie. That was dumb. Why not do like the animated series did and just have them fight a little then team up to fight lex and joker? We didn't need a "i'm going to kill superman" batman and a mopping "I hate my life" superman in this movie.

Why is it a 3 part cartoon can get a bvs story right but a big budget Hollywood movie can't? Plus the cartoon was only a hour and they still have a better movie then the almost 3 hour film!

At least an older, more experienced/grizzled bats was a different angle for the movies. The idea was solid, the execution could have been better.

ugh, I've found the DC version of her overrated and a clutch for WW writers for about a decade. If they want a mythological opponent for a WWIII they should use someone else like Hades and have Diana journey to Hell or something.

Hades is generally not a WW enemy.

They didn't do Dark Knight Returns. They took elements from it for the movie. Also, do comic book fans just not know what the word moping actually means? The movie actually did do the fight a little and then team up. It just had some other stuff in between. If you wanted the cartoon go watch that.

Besides, isn't it a little exhausting whining endlessly about BvS? You guys won. Snyder's no longer making movies. You got what you wanted. There are super villains that don't hold grudges nearly as long as comic book fans.

I think that was the main problem with the initial DCEU and Snyder's take.

Cool and interesting concepts, but the execution left a lot to be desired.

Circe is the only one of Wonder Woman's Big Three villains (Cheetah, Ares, and Circe) who we haven't seen on-screen yet, so I think she's probably a shoe-in for the third villain of the trilogy.

I fear that Circe would just end up being a slightly better version of Selena in the 1984 Supergirl movie.

Aquaman has officially passed The Dark Knight Rises worldwide to become the highest grossing DC film and the second highest grossing WB film.
