Was Black Widow a period piece? I know it took place in the 2010’s, but it doesn’t immediately jump in my mind as a “period piece” all the others.

I guess it's the closest one even if in terms of the overall MCU timeline it's a period piece .

but it was the WB execs that ordered the pivot and re-shoots; are these people daft?

it's not like Whedon randomly strolled into the WB lot and demanded to reshoot the film

I don't think that WB demanded for "Flash falls on WW's boobs" re-shoot.

Snyderstans you mean, many others tried to point out that Ben said otherwise, yet they keep picking up a word from what he said and give a weird interpretation, that he meant this or that. They are crazy, You can even find some of those stans claiming that Superheroes have always been lame and only snyder knew how to correct that lameness.
Reading their comments make you realize that many of them aren't even fans of these characters, they are followers of a cult.

So Keaton’s Batman may have ended up having a Robin, but it doesn’t look like the Marlon Waynes version.

I guess they're finally setting up a cinematic Dick Grayson...although how old would he have to be?

Which would make Dick a lot older than Barbara. This is a weird direction to take.

It wouldn't be the first time.

Although who knows the timeframe for everything...maybe Dick started at 10 and is in his 20's now like Babs is, or mid-20's so it's not that big an age gap. That Keaton's Batman had a Robin at all now is setting up at least some questions about how they're going to gel everything together and when it happened in Keaton's timeline.

    25-30 similar to batgirl

Funny how now it’s clicking for people on Twitter that a batfamily is possible now
I see a lot of attitude shift, if that’s so perhaps this could be a big screen movie
