It could be a Multiversal story that features both Clark and Calvin.

A black actor playing Clark is one thing, but I'm not thrilled with the idea of Clark being shelved from the movie entirely.

I get that, but honestly I would prefer if it was Val-Zod or Calvin Ellis, or even Clark’s son Jon. I like Clark but we have had plenty of movies starring Clark over the years including the upcoming Snydercut and we literally just got Superman & Lois. I don’t necessarily want to watch Clark’s origin again so I would appreciate starting it later in his career or let’s try someone new. I know that’s just my opinion, so you don’t have to agree with me.

I might be wrong, but the uproar over a possible black Clark would be greater than anything WB/DC had ever faced before. I honestly don't think it would be pretty.

Of course but many signs point to it. The news originally broke on Shadow and Act, with statements by Coates, Abrams and Emmerich. Then people like Borys Kit and Justin Kroll who are 2 of the most credible sources in the industry, report that WB has wanted to have a black Superman for years. Then they announce a Superman reboot during Black History Month, penned by a black writer whose work is usually centered on black experience. I would be rather surprised if they cast a white actor in the role.

Assuming this in anyway ties in with Flash’s movie (which is not a given, considering what a hot mess it is), wouldn’t the probability be more that Superman would be Latinx (obviously it’s not mutually exclusive)?
