I read recently that The Batman will not be a part of the DCEU. Any confirmation of this?

In what sense? I'd say by now that early speculation that this is a prequel to Batman v. Superman has thoroughly been quashed, but what is or isn't canon anymore is kind of nebulous right now anyway.

Wikipedia also still has dead in the water projects like Deadshot, Cyborg, Justice League 2 and Justice League Dark listed as part of the DCEU. That doesn't mean anything.

It's literally not even the first time a character has changed races in a Batman franchise, let alone a comic book movie. A character like Jim Gordan is bigger then any individual actor.

All that stuff will be excised. If things go well, I wouldn't be surprised to see Pattinson's Batman interact with WW and Aquaman with no fucks given about continuity

True, but I read somewhere that Reeves said for certain that his Batman would never be in say a JL movie and I just wanted to know if that was a rumor or if he really said something like that.

It's just people s******talking. He just said that his movies are going to be their own story, like the vast majority of DCEU and MCU films. James Gun actually said the same thing about GotG and some GotG fans got upset because they interpretted their inclusion in Infinity War as a violation of this promise.

We might see that eventually, but I think it's a long ways off if it ever happens at all.
