On its own it looks alright but I hated the Parademons and what about the New Gods screams Xenomorph/Zerg? They're kinda like Asgardians or Eternals not insectoids or H.R.Giger related

As for why depict apocalypse dweller as more monstrous people . Simply put, it's hell.ofcourse, it will have demons. I do believe new genesis people will be more angelic and like Asgardians or Eternals.

Parademons started looking worse by the time of the New52 and onwards. Its ok to be ashamed of the comicbook look but no color at all made a lot of action scenes visually unappealing and I was reminded of locusts not demons

I mean, even kirby's design have kinda insect like features to it. generally that's what the antennas and the wings signify. forager does refer to his people as "bug" people as well. Those same design element is present in forager as well.


Would i like a kirby-esque forth world with that aesthetic? Heck! Yeah. but this is just a different iteration by a different persons view point. Also, i have said this before. Snyder seems to be linking his kryptonIan aesthetic with fourth world as well. His world, his rules. I guess.

100%. It's a director's cut on HBO, not Snyder returning to glory as the visionary of the DCEU.

I have not kept up but I saw an interview with Snyder where he said his cut is its own thing outside the DCEU because the franchise obviously diverged from his original plan after everything that went down in 2016.

So I wouldn't expect any ties in the New Gods film outside of both using Darkseid.

Her Wrinkle in Time designs felt extremely Kirbyesque, I hope that carries over into her New Gods film.
