I don't believe this has been confirmed to be set in the movie continuity, such as it is.
That's more like a haphazard improvisation of a topsy-turvy movie universe than an actual planned direction in my opinion. We've not even sure what the plan is with Supergirl.
(Plus there's no established Blue Beetle for Jaime to succeed on-screen. I don't think they've even confirmed if Ted is actually in it).

Not sure why everyone is all Fanboy on Keaton playing Batman. He is 70 years old. Unless it's Batman: The Dark Knight, I don't see him as a plus. There was a reason Marvel cast him as Vulture!

I'll admit, I'm checking in solely to see how they talk about Allison Mack
I'm not sure how much it'll come up, honestly. Rosenbaum brings it up every time he has a Smallville person on his show, and the convo usually goes like "I knew she was into some weird stuff, but not that weird." Mack was a guarded person on set and didn't really let anyone into what she was doing at nxim, so most people were surprised and had no idea
love is the real "success."

Well, there have been plenty of beloved versions of an old Batman and Keaton's movies were a pop culture phenomenon at the time. I don't think it can be overstated how huge his Batman was. A lot of people still consider him to be the best and are very excited to see him again. Besides, the character is going to be in a supporting capacity like Batman Beyond, Keaton still looks great and is fit and most challenging stuff will be handled by stuntmen and/or CGI.
I think since we have a young Batman in his own universe for the solo movies, it makes sense to use a drastically different version for the crossover stuff. And if you're going to introduce the multiverse, it makes sense to use one of the most popular past film versions of the character. Seems like he'll be sort of a mix of Batman Beyond Bruce/DKR Batman/Flashpoint Batman.
I don't see any problem with it, really.
