I don't care for grounded vs fantastical, just good films. And action. Nolan never delivered on the fight scenes. I want John Wick level action. Only got that in one scene in Batman v Superman (warehouse fight).

If not, no biggie. WB will have to have a serious talk with him if they plan to keep him after this. Like I said before, everybody deserves another chance. Other mcu actors have done worse..

According to The Wrap, Icelandic police reported that they were never called to the scene and no injuries were reported. Hence Miller is not under investigation.

I believe Reeve cited The Long Halloween as a source so we may get a mix of realism and comic book fantastical-ness.

What I want from a Batman movie... a FULLY FORMED Batman. I want one that is already established, already awesome. Nolan never gave us that. Everything about that franchise just felt new and rookie. I want the bat-signal to already exist and strike fear in the criminals.. And not one that is old and broken down... I don't want Year-one... I don't Want DKR. I want a solid legitimate Batman in the prime of his life. Something similar to the Animated Series.

Frankly I don't think I've actually seen THAT Batman since Schumaker. Nobody's actually done a 'serious' version of that character since Batman Returns.

Just wanted to say, Aquaman is my favorite DCEU movie but will not be supporting part 2 if Heard is still in it. Don’t have any strong thoughts on the Miller situation. Though i almost feel bad for whoever helms the new Harry Potter movies if they have to deal with Dumbledoor’s brother being in the dog house right after Grindlewald is back in the clear....which he totally is for all intents and purposes. Even Heard’s PI couldn’t get any dirt on Depp. Just wanted to throw that out here. Not into cancel culture, i don't think lives need to be ruined for not being perfect, but what she did was not ok, hell she kinda embodies the more problematic side of cancel culture.

I will watch Aquaman 2 no matter what. I don't care about the actors personal problems. Unless it's something really bad or abusive. Heard and Depp issues so far, meh, don't care so far at all. If she goes to jail, oh well, too bad, I liked her as Mera. If she stays, yay.

The incident is reported with Ezra Miller's name given, and with quotes from both some few eyewitnesses and managers of Prikinu cafe/bar. The two newspapers also use different named sources.

If this was Swedish media, the fact that Ezra Miller was named would be hugely significant. Generally suspects are not named in mainstream until a guilty verdict here, and would imply that Ezra Miller himself had been in contact with the papers, and wanted his name printed. I have no clue on Icelandic journalistic practices here, but it's clearly less stringent than Swedish ones.

From what I gather from the articles, the Prikinu bouncers escorted Miller off the premises and possibly called the police. I also believe that Miller is now unwelcome to return to Prikinu. But I also see no references to anyone being taken into custody, or statements from police or prosecutors.

My take: Ezra Miller did an ass of himself, but not to such a degree and in such a situation that he would face prosecution under Icelandic law. I do not know if Miller was provoked in any way. I wouldn't be surprised if both the woman and Miller were drunk, and thus useless as witnesses, and there is no real reason for the Prikinu staff to do anything except block Miller from coming back.
If it looks like no criminal charges were brought then I'd assume this wasn't assault, and was just Miller and possibly the woman making big enough asses out of themselves to be banned from the store. Embarrassing, but far from criminal. But I don't know how stringent Iceland is when it comes to assault, either, especially against a woman.

I hope this is a wake up call for Ezra Miller. Dude has enough talent and it'd be sad to see him lose himself to drugs or whatever. Plus I liked him as The Flash. Can we DC fans have good things besides endless Batman and family movies? Geez... no wonder Marvel is kicking DC's butt..

Not an origin though. Not fully formed in his prime sure, but this seems to be a Year Two or maybe three. So the Batsignal could already be set up.

Good thing the flash tv show is so good. It's not the worse thing in the world to have the movie get canned. Aquaman 2 should happen without Heard. Remove mera or recast

Year 2 is the vibe I’m getting. Basically the gap between Year 1 and when Batman first adopted Dick Grayson is the the time period. So you’ve got the freaks starting to take control, but the mob is still around, and Gordon hasn’t solidified control over the GCPD.

I can't say that an actor's private life impacts whether I pay to see their film. Amber Heard and Johnny Depp are a toxic couple who were physically and emotionally abusive to each other. If WB decides to keep them in their jobs, that's fine with me. I can separate an actor from a role. The crime would have to be egregious for me to boycott, but by those standards, WB would certainly recast the actor anyway. But if I'm to cancel a movie or TV because an actor behaves badly, then I'd have to ditch quite a bit of entertainment.

To be honest, at this point the movie and show would probably be in competition to each other.

Yeah, it's also probably the closest you can get to doing a young, rookie-ish, Batman without doing another Year One Batman movie.

I think Reeves Batman movie is going to be quite similar to Arkham Origins, and I couldn’t be more embracing for that. The more Reeves talks about his take the more I can’t wait to see this movie.
