With WW1984 already pushed back, I wonder how long until the other films on the current slate are as well. Flash is definitely moving (if that was ever on track to begin anyway) now that Captain Marvel 2 was rescheduled to just a week away from it. The Batman is supposed to be ready in June, but maybe they'll switch it with The Suicide Squad since that's farther along in production.

To think WW1984 was originally supposed to be released last November, and Jenkins ended up regretting that as being an unnecessary precaution. Hurts a lot more in hindsight.

Nah, superheroes are not soap operas- not 'in general'. Marvel used a lot of soap opera tropes in their early out put, and that became popular- but for the most part it isnt true.

I'm worried we'll never get another SHAZAM. I absolutely adored that flick.

I guess it depends which franchise you're talking about, but I feel like soap operatic elements have always been part of Superheroes right back to when Clark Kent was pining for Lois Lane who was pining for Superman.

Yeah! The treatment of that was more jokey than serious until later. It wasn't this great drama, that has overtaken superman as a character now. Clark kent the persona itself was more used for comedic purposes. It's made so intricate that people actually believe that superman is that kinda character now. Worse, most of the times it's forced and lame.

Lol. These dates seemed so far away when they were announced way back in 2015-16.
