    Unfortunately for Aquaman, I think this is the way a lot of people feel.

    Shame things had to be this way. And right after he became DC’s highest grossing film.

    Yeah WB making divisions for dc with wanting joker director as a adviser. Some are happy and others who saw joker as a taxi driver rip-off and may have all been in jokers head so it was all a waste of time dream anyways are less happy over it.

    I didn't hate joker as much but saw it as "eh" ok.

    I don't want more movies like Joker
    I don't think DC fans should either but then again there seems to be this huge complex within the fandom regarding success and critical acclaim mostly driven by the marvel vs DC fanboy war

    As Todd Phillips sticks to stuff that are his strengths then I am okay with it. As long as he's not taking the Joker approach on say characters like Elongated Man, Red Tornado or the Wonder Twins then I'm good.

    It's hard to name a 'Kevin Fiege' figure for the DCU. A few years ago, it would have been Geoff Johns. Funnily enough, both Feige and Johns are friends and they know each other. The difference is that Fiege was a movie producer for almost 10 years before he worked on Iron Man. He knew his way around when making the MCU. Johns is primarily a comic writer and his foray into movies have often been disastrous (see Justice League and Green Lantern).

    I don't think DC even needs a Kevin Fiege figure but that doesn't mean it should be business as usual at DC. I think they should take more risks and try different things to see what works and what doesn't work. During Marvel's early days they ran a screen writing program in which they gave young screen writers an opportunity to write a movie script for any character they want. John Robert Cole who wrote a script for a War Machine movie later went on to writer Black Panther and is likely involved in the Armor Wars show coming up. Nicole Perlman's script for Guardians of the Galaxy is what convinced Fiege to make a Guardians movie and then James Gunn came on board and made it his own thing while Perlman later went on to become the co writer for Captain Marvel. I think DC should try something similar.

    Well, the history is that his film made a billion dollars and earned 11 Academy Award nominations and won at least a few big ones…

    The Helmet of Fate in Black Adam looks really weird.

    Prediction time;

    Arkham - Shawshank Redemption/One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

    Joker 2: Society Harder - Cape Fear or Kundun.

    Luthor - Wolf of Wall Street.

    Killer Croc - Jaws but a digitally inserted CGI Crocodile into the scenes with the shark.

    Shit I’d go see a Luthor film, even a Lex that’s a ripoff of other, better movies would still be a step up from the crap DCEU incarnation. Probably will just be more Batman Rogues though.

    I say leave the Batman Rogues stuff for HBO Max. Lex absolutely should be given the Joker treatment and it's not like you need a huge budget for a Luthor film either. They already have the perfect source material with Azzarello and Bermejo's Lex Luthor: Man of Steel.

    I thought Eisenberg had a better understanding of the character than anyone else who's played him, save Rosenbaum. I'd be happy to see him return to the role.

    An adaption of the Azz/Bermejo Luthor book would be the perfect Lex movie. Never happening, at best Supes might cameo at the end or something.
