I have to laugh that WW and Aquaman are now part of the "Big 4" in reports and that somehow they should not have as much focus as "minor" characters such as Black Adam.

Blame wb for not going all in on these two and also Niether ww team nor Aquaman team had world building plan for dcu..They were content with a trilogy. That's fine..But,when you are making large shared universe universe. To be relevant you need to add on to that grand narrative. Provide a direction.Iron man and cap were the driving force for mcu.
Now,they could have done the trench movie.Add some maguffin in their that leads to other movies.but, they didn't.

"People’s Dreams... Have No Ends"
Wonder Woman was kind of written into a corner when they decided she's been around since World War I and not allowed to have any impact because they wanted preserve Superman as the "first" hero...something that's become more and more meaningless with every new movie.
So she was stuck either operating in secret or sitting on her ass doing nothing for a 100 years.
That was another failing of the DCEU. They ran in full-steam thinking Batman and Superman were the only characters that mattered and everyone else was just ancillary.
Im one that has always thought that paint her into a corner. Operating in the dark doesn't shut her off from stories, just that she's not a public hero. WW 1 killing off her gods was a bigger blow than her Operating in secret. They also had room to tell stories set after her return to public in BvS.
Forcing her in the past for two movies killed a lot of world-building. I guess it was fine in the first movie, but once we get to '84, it's like... "how does this matter in the overall universe."
It's not even just the DCEU; WW and Aquaman should've had cartoons and video games lined up to boost them further. Aquaman got one mini-series, and it's no longer on HBO MAX, so you'd have to hope to find a DVD if you even know it exists. WW is getting a video game years later than she should've, but nothing outside of that.
If you're trying to build a universe if you have to engage these characters outside of that one medium. You also have to be willing to engage them in the greater universe. Diana hasn't been shown in modern times since JL flopped and Aquaman made a billion, and its sequel is taking five years to come out. Whatever momentum they had is going to falter because there's no upkeep.
They want a shared universe but don't wanna work for it.

They didn't..They banked on the rock and he has enough clout.Suffice to say "movie stars are dead" has an semi- exception to the rule.
Also, rock is a producer. He has experience with long form serialised story telling. He just took it and ran with it.Henry was supposed to another headless cameo. The rock knew that would be a blunder. So he made it happen.Henry is going to be in flash as well. They can actually build things now.
It's also easy pull the plug as well..If black adam works they can go this direction. If it doesn't they can retool or even scrap.
