Looks like Maleficent will barely beat Joker in its' third week https://deadline.com/2019/10/malefic...ce-1202763525/.
Didn't think it would pass 300M domestic(should pass that) and it's crazy it will pass Man of Steel in both categories on a fraction of the budget. Looks like a Luthor film will arrive before Superman.
A bat! That's it! It's an omen.. I'll shall become a bat!

"You've Got to Stop This": Jared Leto Fumed Over New 'Joker' Movie: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/he...-movie-1247699
Leto has a right to be pissed (if that "report" is true). He never had a real chance to show all he could do, but I liked his work in SS.
I'd probably be more sympathetic if I actually liked Leto's Joker, although maybe it was the material and direction that killed it (though some of his "method acting" left a bit to be desired).
Yeah, I figured that.At this point, sources say Leto’s days as the Joker likely are over. He will not reprise the role for Warners' upcoming DC movies Birds of Prey (a spinoff centered on Robbie's Harley Quinn) or in James Gunn's The Suicide Squad, due out in 2021. Says one person involved in the situation: "How do you play the Joker you established following [Phoenix]? It kind of ends his Joker run.”
Its more a digging out old news because the new movie is fresh thing. I recall some similar reports of Leto being upset back then when the Elseworlds Joker project was announced to which time frame that clickbaiter article is referring. I was too since I was hoping for more DCEU stuff since some coherent universe-building is what they direly need (but, lets face it, ultimately suck at with their disloyal shilly-shally ). Last rumors I heard was that Leto is pretty much done with DC and doing some marvel villain movie/role or something like that.
So I guess now Pattinson's Joker will have to follow up Phoenix and a disgruntled Jared Leto .
Leto won an Oscar if I remember well. You can blame the director and WB. Again.
There's plenty of blame to go around. Like Jessie Eisenberg as Lex, I think Leto is a good actor but was horrendously miscast, and the reports of his "method" behavior didn't win him any love either.
I really hate how WB has strung along some of the actors for their universe. Very unprofessional IMO. Poor Cavhill, Fisher, and now Leto. Is Erza Miller's Flash happening?
