Well it certainly doesn't help that the only time people suggest costumes like these is when they're complaining about the ones they do get being "not comic book" enough. I mean, what are the odds that the people who dislike the outfits we are getting would have even suggested the ones you posted if they'd gone with skimpy outfits Dinah and Helena are (in)famous for?

I don't think I've ever come across someone who actively wanted Jim Lee's stripper outfit for Huntress in a live action format. If we got that complete with male gaze-y shots, you know damn well certain corners of the internet would lose their minds. And they wouldn't really be wrong to do so.

How do you know neither of these costumes would be suggested? It seems like you are only saying that because they fly in the face of your reasoning that people are only complaining about the costume choices because they aren't comics accurate or stripperific.

The same thing happened with Anna Diop as Starfire. Suddenly, people cared that a character notorious for dressing like she was working a pole cared so much about modesty. Despite the fact that what Diop wore was a hell lot more dignified than every costume Kory had worn except for this one:

That season 1 costuming (especially the wig) were really bad though. I can understand why someone would criticize it, if not necessarily due to modesty so much as that it just looked crappy. None of that justifies aiming any attacks at the actress though since she obviously has no hand in designing it.

Yes-Dad was came from Poland and then Russia. Mom is black.

That technically isn't Leto I wouldn't be surprised if they did cut it, though more because how Phoenix's Joker has completely eclipsed Leto's Joker so they don't even want any direct nods to Leto or his imagery especially because Birds of Prey is coming out in the peak of awards season where Phoenix is a frontrunner (also note how in the main trailer Harley's illustration of Joker which she uses as a bullseye looks nothing like Leto's version).

Also, at this point WB seems to be done with Leto, especially after his behaviour towards Phoenix's Joker film.
