"They can be a great people Kal-El, they wish to be. They only lack the light to show the way. For this reason above all, their capacity for good, I have sent them you. My only son." - Jor-El
Don't tell me, they are going to do a hundred different versions of batman like metal.
Anyways, I think this is going to be a flashpoint. Affleck batman will be the current batman. Then flash goes back saves mother.Which leads to Michael keaton batman.Flash fixes his mess. Ben affleck batman gets the letter. We cut to the early life of "The batman" in the next movie.
Not that I'm wild about Miller's Flash to begin with, but I feel bad for the character that the most talked about element in his solo film likely won't even be anything connected to his mythos but possibly multiple versions of DC's most spammed cash cow.
Even though Batfleck got most of the hype, at least the build up of hype for BvS was still specifically about those three characters.
Based, if it makes pople mad then im happy.
Just have Keaton do a solo BATMAN: THE RETURN. It could easily exist alongside Matt Reeves' THE BATMAN (which I am unbelievably hyped for tbh).
Hell, HBOMax should let Affleck do a Batman thing too.
Strange, didn’t Affleck state that he lost his passion for telling superhero stories? Now I have seen some people assume this news means Affleck is back for the foreseeable future, heck, people are even speculating he may get a HBO Max spin-off show, even though I suspect this is just a send-off for the character before Keaton takes over. I’m betting by the end of the movie, Affleck Batman gets erased or wiped from continuity after Barry resets the DCEU, which then leads to Keaton Wayne becoming the Batman of Barry’s universe.
"I love mankind...it's people I can't stand!!"
- Charles Schultz.
Keaton probably will play Thomas, then reality reboots with Robert Pattinson Batman.
On one hand I agree it's surprising but on the other I should've expected it. Opening up the multiverse just seems like DC's way of just adding more Batmen wherever possible.
But then again when stuff like Shazam and Doom Patrol are underperforming I can't expect DC not to use the one thing that will consistently make them money. Not to say Flash couldn't have done numbers by himself, but for DC that's all the more reason to throw in a few Batmen for even more money.
