Black Adam will start filming in April 12th in Atlanta, Georgia.
Isn't that where Stargirl is filming too. Black Adam will be inspired by Johns' JSA run after all.

That's how it starts. The fever. The rage. The feeling of powerlessness. That turns good men....Cruel - Alfred.
This may be the only thing that I do that matters - Bruce.
Stay down, if I wanted it, you would be dead already - Clark.

Abrams producing it instead of directing is more reassuring, and the description of the screen writer's credits lends some confidence that we might see some "Champion of the Oppressed" elements to Superman.
Excellent news!
Does that basically guarantee we're getting a black Superman?
I think the possibility is on the table. I don't think a black screen writer necessarily guarantees a black Superman though
I'd have mixed feelings about such a casting. Casting wise, I'd want someone who can embody Clark as we've known him both visually and in personality. But if we get a black actor who turns in a strong performance and the story is good, it won't be the end of the world.
One of the Fates?
Coates? So I guess we'll be getting a Superman who is still mostly introspective, ineffectual, and kind of overshadowed/driven by the women in his life. Coates seems like a random choice to reboot Superman unless he's just going to do his own thing with it.
(Just basing it off Coates' comic work).
