I think it's only "way too" seriously when that becomes a mark against it. This looks too good for that to be a valid criticism in my opinion, but your mileage may vary.

There is also the possibility that the Batgirl movie will have it's own version of Batman that's neither Keaton, Pattinson or Affleck.

There is also the possibility that Batman himself will only be mentioned but never seen in this movie.

It's definitely not R-rated. There are already Lego and Hot Wheels tie-ins and the usual assortment of merchandise aimed at little kids in the works.

The leaker said the execs apparently don't know its R rated, but yeah, I wouldn't take it to seriously, its just one of the few 'fun' DC leaks I saw. I have been thinking though what will hapen of Batman kills in this Reeves film, like, will everyone just finally admit that he is the Bat of Murder?
