There's no other Superman in the DCEU, save Cavill's. So, it stands to reason that his Superman took the hit.
Besides, the characters don't see actors. Superman is Superman.

It needs to be said again.

Really? Because to me it seems like WB is focused on making good movies within a loose continuity/multiverse with ample space for crossovers but not necessarily being beholden to the limitations of a 'cinematic universe'... which I don't mind at all.

They could do better. These characters deserve better.

If the audience has no problem with it, they are doing better and that is all that matters.

Ultimately, Bloodsports history with Superman is a very minor part of this whole thing but I rather we didn't even have to ask which Superman Bloodsport injured.

But we don't, there's only one Superman right now.

That said, they'd probably been better off not mentioning Superman at all.

Hell no I’m glad they’re keeping the connection between the two in Gunn’s Suicide Squad. Don’t need the Batoffice poaching Bloodsport.

I really dont see why it matters which Superman is mentioned.
Same with this whole "which JL movie is canon"...it doesnt matter unless Flashpoint doesnt change as much as we think.

Why do people need clarification on which face the Superman has that is mentioned in SS?
    For what purpose?
We are all over the place with the universes in general, so nothing will fix that for the moment.
Knowing its Cavill or routh or hell even reeves Superman doesnt change that or matters in the big picture imo.

Bloodsport shot the big guy with the S...does it really matter whos face that guy has?

There has never been just one Superman. At least not in the 21st century.

Or just be clear on whether this movie is set in the Snyder-verse or not.

Really? Interesting, as it seemed to me that the WB people are more focused on their bonuses, coke, hookers, and finally getting to that third grade reading level than anything like making quality products. Ah, it's probably just me...

Hahaha yup, I misspoke. What I mean is that the people actually making the movies are doing their thing and the WB folks don't care what they do as long as they can make money.

That just gets people thinking about the Snyderverse again, which is not what they want. They're looking to strip out the parts that work and use them to make something new/profitable, and that's hard to do if people are focused on their origins

    Seconded.
Stop. Gunn said this takes place in the DCEU. Hence, it's the DCEU Superman (Henry Cavill) that got shot.
In addition, there is no Snyderverse.
