Malevolent isn't the right word to describe Lorna imo. However, I do really appreciate that someone out there acknowledges the deadlier qualities of Polaris. Most writers working at Marvel don't.

No she isn't motivated by malevolence, but yes at least the card acknowledges a change in Lorna over the past 25 or so years. Too many current Marvel writers are fundamentalists. If it didn't happen in say their nostalgic era of comic buying they are going to ignore it popular or not or if it fits her modern character history or not.

Actually a real comic book fundamentalist would know Lorna willing to pull the trigger in her earliest of days. But, its more fundamentalist as in their nostalgic era in comic buying which tends to be 80s thru start of 90s. I would also rather Lorna be misunderstood by some, then being seen through a lens of something the character and her history doesn't fit with.

Favorite Comic Book Families

Can you imagine spending the holidays with the Magneto and the fam? Not only do you have the Master of Magnetism, you have Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, and Polaris. Maybe Quicksilver’s ex, Crystal, can stop by. Or you can have fun explaining how the Vision was married to Scarlet Witch and they had two kids but in reality they were manifestations brought to like from shards of Mephisto’s soul. OK, I never kept up but did Speed and Wiccan turn out to be legit Tommy and Billy? I find conflicting stories on the subject. Regardless, we’ll keep it there. If we start adding in the alternate reality/extended family, we’d be here all day.

I do like the concept of different mutant families, it makes sense there would be generational changes over time and all that, and the families can reflect the differences in personality among their "Heads"

This is an idea that is ripe for exploration

Its JM's Lorna. Not my favorite costume of all time for the character, but one hell of an effort by a fan to build that.
