What I do when things suck is go and collect single issues of my favorite runs. Just go to your local comic shop and dig through bins. I've been collecting Tim's solo series and Dixon Nightwing along with random issues that catch my eye. It's important to still have that wonder that comics with looking for stories to read.

The Robin suit looks okay and so does the actor playing Dick. They are passable to fine, but Dick in the Titans show I feel like is going to be the least of its problems. So I'm not worried about how he is in it since it seems like other things are going to take the brunt of the heat if the show is bad. It just surprises me how much better the Doom Patrol set photos look compared to the earlier Titans set photos. Maybe that means they can turn Titans around for season 2 if it falls flat.

He could really dissect Dick and his relationships with Dick now having a different perspective, and then eventually reinvent him through this experience. But no, who do we get? Scott friggin Lobdell. The guy who gave us Bar Torr and reinvented Tim Drake. Bane! Where are you Bane. Shoot me too, please.

I dont understand. Whatever you think of Lobdell positive or negative the arc he's writing is just a rewrite of Percy's. The only difference is that editorial is using Lobdell as the triggerman to execute their new direction which in turn means Percy ditched it because:
He did not want to be the editorial's man
He didn't like his story being changed
He was not comfortable with DC's vision for Dick

So regardless of how good or bad Lobdell is one cant ignore all that. On to Lobdell himself when hr works with those conditions then we get his Teen Titans.

I don't think Priest would be interested. Feel like he has his eyes set on bigger characters like Batman given his Deathstroke run. We all know his feelings on the character too with what he said in his blog about Dick and he hasn't written him too well in the few scenes he has used him in, imo. It isn't a lot to go on but I found his voice for the character poor. The ideas he had in his blog about how Dick is more a product of stockholm syndrome and Bruce is like a child abuser that Dick should resent or something along those lines was just a big turnoff for me too.

I wouldn't say no I guess, especially given who we have now, but I'd have very low expectations for Priest's run. I don't think it would interest him the way Deathstroke, Robin or Batman did, he likes dark torubled characters, and he would get annoyed very quickly and leave. Only thing that would be interesting I think is maybe he would tear into how crappy Bludhaven is, lol.
