I’m a comics guy, I like reading comics. So it matters to me if his comic is crap.

I've said why I think Bludhaven is a broken concept countless time and I don't want to repeat myself, but I'll never understand why fans cling to the idea of Bludhaven so much when it has done nothing but regress the character back into being something a series like Grayson was finally moving him out of. It does nothing but cut him off from the DCU, there is nothing in Bludhaven worth anything, and it is a setting that writers struggle massively to write in.

Seeley hated Bludhaven and the idea of it. It was the main reason he didn't want to write Nightwing in Rebirth, but he only did it if he could completely re-imagine it. He tied his absolute best to make it a setting that could stick and I commend him for trying, but it didn't work. Two years later and it is having the same problems it always had. It is just a countdown now until DC finally moves Dick out of it again for something else, but they will probably flounder around for a few more years before then.
I feel Writers fail more so than concepts. Old Blüd is slick boring this is true. New Blüd has potential but as put by Kyle Higgins when it comes to building on another writer's work they don't really care. Writers have large egos. Which makes sense since no writer consistently wanted to do the same thing with Blüd (also neither gives a damn about characters previously introduced) but they even failed at making it all of those things molded into one. And I doubt Scott will remember Casinoscape Blüd and Techno Blüd. I feel like he's gonna focus on Dark and gritty Blüd *yawn*

    shrugs

    I don't have that opinion

I think some are actually good.
I just don't like a lot of Damian focus.

    to each,his/her own though
I created a thread about Dick Grayson/Nightwing and Koriand'r/Starfire. It is to acknowledge and honor their iconic and popular relationship.

I created a fan page about Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Mary Jane Watson. This page is for all the Spider-Marriage fans.

I'm more in the middle-ground with those; I think they're just mediocre, with a few abominations.

Also, was there this strong of a negative reaction to the Grayson book? I'm not saying that this concept compares to that at all, but I wasn't on this forum then.

Assault on Arkham, Gotham by Gaslight, and the Gods and Monsters stuff has been good Post-Flashpoint but that's really it to me.

I don't care for a new universe's version of a story told better in the original story in a different animated movie.

Not really, the most negative it got was "you guys know this won't last?" and worrying about Dick killing people which didn't happen.

Well I mentioned two graphic novels in that post. Slightly related to this and my original post, it was just announced that there's going to be a one-shot prequel comic to Young Justice: Outsiders exclusive to the DC Universe service. The tie-in comics have continued to be trending comics since the thing launched, so there's a chance that DC sees the demand and we get an ongoing tie-in comic again. Worth noting, as the comics have had Dick a big focus for certain arcs, like the Players arc where he was the primary protagonist for the whole story.

I really liked Bad Blood and The Judas Contract. Both had some issues, several Damian-related ones tbh, but they were great movies. I hope future ones are even better tho, of course. Let's see if Dick even appears in the upcoming Hush movie, he definitely should but you never know. And I'm still waiting on the Donna cliffhanger from TJC.

Speaking of movies, i just love how AU Dick in Elseworlds like GBG ("Jason shut up do what i tell you and help Batman because you are a fucking idiot") and Batman Ninja ("We got you B also i have all these connections in these 2 years") and the toy commercial series Batman Unlimited (NTT vibe, identity crisis, brotime with Tim) all sound more like Dick than Dick in the main universe and has a bigger voice in minutes than an hour of appearences in the big officials right now. When Batman Ninja does it better than you you know you are at a deep end DC.

I liked Bad Blood Judas Contract too. I actually saw Bad Blood at the DC Universe site last Saturday. As for Hush, I hope that Selina has a supporting role in it. It was Dick that told Bruce to tell Selina his secret in Hush story line.

I am curious how much of a role Damian will have in Hush.

Heard from people DiDio ordered Nightwing to be isolated from everybody for the next year, because he has a story to tell. Yup, you heard that right. Lobdell is just there as a placeholder writer for DiDio's suckish plot. Every bad Dick Grayson story has DiDio's stupid fingerprints on it. The best character sabotaging in history.

I'm more worried that these are last minute plans than anything else.

I would expect Selina to have the second biggest role next to Batman. It is a Bat/Cat story first and foremost. We actually dont have any real info about Hush and probably wont until Spring 2019. However James Tucker is listed as producer not Bruce Timm which does imply that it will be in continuity.
