First of all this series isn't even canon to Injustice.
Secondly the developers will use whoever they want without regard for these books when it comes down to it.

DC is going in hard on Jason at the moment now he's the bad influence corrupting Damian after Dick [speaking of did you read Batman Damned? ] worked so hard as well. Bruce is going to be peeved. Is this what ends up driving a wedge between Bruce and Damian [re DC Nation]?
Wanted them to interact more this wasn't what I had in mind. Can't wait to read it though

I am happy. Just read the issue and loved it. Wasn't expecting Batfamily feels but got hit with a ton of it.

Damian on the parallels between him and Adam.
Voicing his feelings for Grayson
Getting distressed at his dad in peril
Getting distressed at Kara's faith
Denouncing Superman [I know that he had already done this before the series began what with being the leader of the Resistance and all but it was satisfying to hear him voice it]
All good stuff.
He wasn't really physical but that's not what this Damian needed. He got exactly what he needed. Solid emotional work that shows how far he has come. Damian is the Injustice character who has had the most development and evolution as the series progressed great see it carried over seamlessly to this crossover.
Rebirth might not have been as great as I initially hoped for Damian but the level of love so many writers have shown him I can't complain. Seeley did good work with just a few panels here.
Great to see Raptor make an appearance.
Solid issue.
Jason is the last person i expected to be Damian's mentor but all makes sense.
He would go to someone close, Someone he trusts and someone who takes a hard line on crime and criminals. Not sure why everyone assumed it would be a bad guy?
The solicits and press made it seem like his mentor was a bad guy.
I wasn't expecting it but like you say it makes total sense.
He went to his Badass older bro who don't take no fucks because he was sick of the Batman and JL way. Dick isn't as grey, Tim is pro buttons Jason shoots crime in the face so yeah.
Jason is that middle point between Batman and Old Damian.
Glad that Glass didn't diss RHATO continuity completely with the Black Mask thing as previously thought. Can't wait to see how this plays out.
Happier that his mentor isn't a villain.
