Ah well, I'm doing it then. Let's begin.

Jean had more presence in death than Cyke in Hickman's entire run.
Hickman succeeded where 2010s Marvel didn't: make the X-Men villainous and irrelevant.
Hilariously, the X-Men have now fully embraced mutant supremacy and racism against humans.

The moment I became a fan of Cyke. Dude giving away Hope so that she can have a chance at living while being raised by Cable, himself Cyke had also given up so that he could have a chance at living, too. . . It's probably why I'll never stop being bitter about the potential of Hope, or disdain at how much of a brat she has become.

Sorry, most of my cyclops commissions also have Jean, lol
Cyke and Magik having a picnic on the moon while Earth burns. Never got around to inking & colouring it, though. . . .

Seeing as it's the start of a new thread, I figured I'd post this. I wrote it a while back, but never brought it up in the thread, there never really seemed a good time for it (and I think it's also one of my weaker pieces, I pretty much just frankensteined it out of a bunch of random notes)! It's about Duel, as in the one between Storm and Cyclops in #201, and why Cyclops is really the main character explored in that issue.

Well, since I was the last of the other thread, then I'm just repeating what I wrote there:
Without Cyclops, the X-Men will be doomed to death, as we will see in Extermination.
Maybe, just maybe, it's our beloved Scott Summers who will lead the X-Men and the whole mutant race one more time... saving everyone from extinction... saving everyone from the dark future.
It would be a great redemption for the X-Office, after what they did to Cyke. I guess.
I firmly believe that too. Storm tried to lead. Couldn't. Handed the reigns to Kitty. We all know how that's turned out. The X-Men need Scott. Jean is doing her best with Red, but seeing how that book is supposedly behind Gold and Blue in terms of timeline, we dont know how that turns out, but it obviously leads to Extermination in some way. The X-Men need Cyclops.
And...
...Let's remember the life and deaths of Scott Summers, a.k.a. Cyclops. ;-)
That thread title is gonna take some getting used to since we've been using the original no-frills one for so long, lol.
Cyclops cat, never forget
