Scott has already abandoned a wife and a son for Jean, the first time Jean resurrected.
Scott will surely run after Jean like a sick puppy when he resurrects, even if she is dating someone else (something Marvel would probably do for drama), so Emma has no chance.
Scott was only truly ever happy with Emma. For all her faults, and there are many, she actually did everything she could to make him happy. She went out of her way to make him happy. Jean didn't. In many cases she went out of her way to make him miserable.

Cyclops is portrayed as an obsessive man who cannot let go of Jean, even if he has a wife and child. Scott and Jean like it was always a bad, toxic, dysfunctional pairing.
Scott only found his balls right after he cheated on her with Emma. Without Emma there would be no Rightclops.

That may be the fannon version of the story, but in the comics it's not quite like that. The marriage was already cracking before Jean came back (The Maddie in X-Factor 1 comes across as a terrible person unwilling to allow Scott the slightest shred of dignity or self esteem), and anyone who thinks he would retire to the middle of nowhere doesn't know the character anymore. Maddie threatens Scott that if he leaves to visit, to not come back. Scott is trying to contact Maddie in issue 2, but the number was already disconnected.

1. Scott did not abandon his wife n kid, that was not his intention.
2. Scott was truly happy with Emma? How did u come up with that conclusion? The way I saw it, he was happy in both relationships, now during Scemma ... Scott had a lot of shit on his shoulder .. so the whole relationship atmosphere were dull but when did Jean “go outta her way to make him feel miserable” like when and how? She literally altered his mind to make him move on ..

Edited; Cyclops would’ve been RightClop whether he was with emma, Jean or single.
It was mostly due to the Mutant situation than his martial status. Just sayin, it’s kinda pathetic to say he wouldn’t have been the hero we all know n love without his gf support lol

Just Scemma shippers feeling threatened. For them it was super cool when Marvel killed Jean, to make Emma/scemma the big thing. Emma went from d-list to the top X-woman and Scemma was the big x-men romance. But both things came at the expense of Jean and both can't be the same with Jean existing. they lasted long, so many people thought they were going to be like that forever, but just because a lie last, it doesn't become true.

Emma went to limbo or has some side appearences on books outside of the x-men at best, and scemma has to deal with what it really is (a mistake that did so much damage to scott's character) with Jean back.

Wow, you dont really give Scott much credit do you? He didnt abandon his wife and son for Jean. Thats false nor was he written as being obsessed with Jean in X-Factor. Another falsehood. He doesnt even get together with Jean until after he sees Maddie die on tv (and that was a shock bc he already thought she was dead)

He would have had to make the same hard choices and reacted the same way even without Emma. Besides, he had already started to deprioritize his relationship with her after the Schism to focus on mutantkind and then he dumped her by the time he donned the X-mask and started his "revolution".

I always loved this relationship, big brother and little sister. With him back I hope we get cute moments and he would back her up as the next leader.
