None of that was true in their beginning. Logan wasn't even around back then. You could argue it become dishonest later, but the roots of the relationship were pure. When I think of them as a couple I always think of the early UXM days and X-Factor where Logan was thankfully almost entirely absent.

Exactly. Scott cared about Jean even after he was with Emma, to the point that it strained his relationship with Emma. And the majority of the affair was psychically coerced by Emma. Jean was kissing Logan 100% of her own accord.
