Pull list: X-23, Mr. & Mrs. X, Extermination, Spider-Gwen: Ghost Spider, Uncanny X-Men
Have been informed that the Black Swans are "only seeking female members, but thank you very much for your time"
has laura re-embraced being called X-23 now? I thought it was fine when she was "new Wolverine", like kate bishop is still Hawkeye even though Clint is alive again.
Laura kinda explained it in one panel when she was shouting at the doctor.
oh well. I prefer Wolverine, anyway. hopefully her allies will still call her that.

Context is king.
X-23's most basic surface level characteristic that any idiot should grasp: Stoicism.
I don't demand that her every minor appearance be a nuance in-depth examination of her character, but is it to much to ask she be written in Archetype?! This is storytelling 101! If you want people to stay invested in a character, you need to, at the bare minimum, write them such a way that they can plausibly be believed to be the same character!
Yes, it does. But I doubt Marvel cares that much. It's blatantly clear they never had any intention of having Laura as Wolverine be anything more than a placeholder, or for her to actually do anything meaningful with the name. Which is a damn shame, because had they actually developed it PROPERLY it could have made for a good long-term development.
spoilers:end of spoilers
Laura gets a good feat in Uncanny #1, pretty much taking the entire MLF down in one go with the help of a Magnetic Fastball from Polaris. Unfortunately, it also came at the expense of Armor and the New X-Men.
