This book is too good to last only 13 issues. I hope we at least get a respectable 20 something. Personally, for a first arc, I’m enjoying this one much more than I did the Four Sisters, and I consider Four Sisters to be a strong opening arc and one of the better arcs of ANW.

My guess is you’re one of the only people who even remembers Gamesmaster, haha.

That ended up being a very pointless development that Liu dropped when she lost interest in it.

I want to see her get to at LEAST 43 and pass Dazzler as the longest ongoing solo book for a female X-character (she DOES surpass Dazz if you factor in all her solo books).

Also I really loved the little detail of Laura's eye turning blue in the final panel, also that eye being hinted to when Laura regenerated and her eye sparked blue for one panel.
I really love these litle details in the art.

Agreed. The book has been wonderful to read. I really wish we where getting 2 a month, October 10 seems too far away.

Yeah, couldn't agree more. This opening arc feels dangerous, even knowing the solicit for #6. I enjoy a lot of current Marvel comics, but I do think that the air of wonder and concern for what's coming next in X-23 is rare, even among quality books.

If people are enjoying this arc, the opening arc of Tamaki's She-Hulk run is quite similar in terms of atmosphere and mystery. I love how Tamaki really focuses on the actual person within the character, and how they're feeling, plus the art in X-23 continues to be superlative.

Which is exactly what Laura needed. One of my complaints about ANW is that focus on Laura’s thoughts and emotions never felt like a priority. Here it’s front and center.
