It's not been chucking it down around my neck of the woods I must say, just cloudy and breezy. This has been a piss poor summer so far though. Although we've had a warmer couple of weeks lately there have been few actual sunny days.

We had a tiny bit of rain earlier in the Midlands.

I'm trying to decide whether or not to go the Showmasters Film and Comin Con in London in a couple of weeks time. Some good guests there, but it'd be a rather expensive trip.

I been thinking for awhile to change my Avatar back on CBR to my classic Swedish Chef one. Then with the line ... "Bloodsucking Parasite Virtue Signalling Muppet" as a line. Hmm...decisions , decisions.

Stranded at home for the second time this year.

Back in February a water main ruptured in the village centre. It caused the only road through the centre to collapse in places and halted traffic for a few days whilst it got fixed. It's only happened again last night.

Stuck at home today. We've had work crews and the police working and hanging around all through the night.

Hope the road situation gets fixed soon at the village, WillieMorgan.

Well, after going on for four days the roads finally been patched up again.

Thing is, how long will it be until this happens again? Much of the village's infrastructure dates back to Victorian England.

Well, hopefully it'll get fixed before the next bad weather day happens. Probably won't knowing this country though LOL.

Many congratulations John . It's always nice to hear about new Everton fans being brought into the world.

    (Sorry, couldn't help that ).

The UK heatwave continues. Took long enough.

LMAO. Well kids will do anything to rebel as long as he/she isn't a Man Utd supporter we'll be fine LOL.

Can't wait for it to cool down personally, I don't do well in the heat. Probably because I'm ginger. Leanne is loving it though.

Well, my younger sister became a Liverpool fan just to spite both myself and my Dad. So, yeah, it does happen.

I do enjoy the sun and heat but I must admit I do struggle with the nights. I'm a bad sleeper and this weather is difficult to sleep in. Especially when I have to leave all the wndows open to try and cool the upstairs rooms down. One tiny noise from outside and I'm wide awake again. I slept on the couch for a few hours last night.

I'm sure we'll avoid that in my household LOL not that it matters of course.

I'm a bad sleeper at the best of times myself so I know how you feel in that regard. I just hope the BnB I'm having to stay in tonight has a good air conditioning it's room, I'll be staying in Bradford tonight. Currently being driven there by a work colleague I'm going with.
