Agreed. Dr. Eliot Franklin has to be one of the most underrated characters in the Marvel Universe. The guy is a Ph.D and is supposed to be on the same level as Bruce Banner. Rather, as Coates referenced before in Black Panther, Dr. Franklin has just been labeled as the "black Bruce Banner," which indicates that he's a lesser shadow of Bruce.

Now, there have been moments in the Marvel Universe when writers haven't forgotten that Thunderball is Dr. Franklin. There were storylines when he fought for control of the Wrecking Crew from Wrecker and should have been the leader. There were other times when writers depicted him as being the most brilliant and eloquently spoken of the group. And then there were times when writers forgot all about that and just depicted him as an uneducated thug. :/

So, I'm glad that Coates is giving attention to Dr. Franklin. Crossing my fingers to see Dr. Franklin realize that potential.

Coates ignores everyone elses books, wouldn't be surprised with the "favor" is returned lol

They could also sort of lean into his Wrecking Crew identity and maybe have him run Damage, INC.

The more I think about it the more I'm liking the idea of him being a Thunderbolt.
    Pull List:

Marvel Comics: Black Panther, Captain America, Invaders, X-Men, New Mutants.
DC Comics: The Green Lantern, Legion of Super-Heroes, Far Sector.

This looks like a sequel to the original comic (or movie).

The only way Rorschach gets a following is if the testament he leaves at the end of the story is discovered. Placing this
some time after the main story.

Either that or the creators have re-written the original to the point where you might as well not even call it Watchmen.

Glad to see this part of history gets to be told! Hoping for some great martial arts action and a great performance from Boseman!

It's not often that we're left speechless, but this trailer for writer/director Jeremy Saville's "comedy," Loqueesha, has left our mouths agape. We're not going to give the trailer any hits but here's the official description of the film sent out by PR firm October Coast:

"From Writer/Director Jeremy Saville, Loqueesha is the hilarious and heartwarming story of Joe, an astute and underachieving Detroit bartender who values truth above everything. When Joe finds out he needs to pay for his gifted son’s private school education, he submits an audition to a local radio station for his own talk therapy show. After he’s rejected, he invents a larger-than-life Black female personality named Loqueesha, who is hired sight unseen by the unwitting radio station owners. As Loqueesha’s star rises, Joe is increasingly challenged with keeping her identity a secret, maintaining his own sense of self and grappling with the often bizarre perceptions of an audience who have absolutely no idea who they’re talking, or listening, to. With a diverse cast of breakthrough actors, Loqueesha takes viewers on an unexpected and thought-provoking journey that challenges society’s—and our own—conventional beliefs about identity and perception."

Trolling Black women for notoriety is nothing new, and Saville seems to be just the latest culprit.
Black Twitter is going to have a FIELD day.

    The director is black.

ANd you got some saying what about White Chick with the Wayans.

Marlon & Shawn were playing FBI agents undercover. You can excuse that.

This is playing on a stereotype and he does it to get his kid in private school?

Yeah , a private school. Like WTF ? I could understand if the bartender had legal bills or something to pay so he could see his son possibly as some big motivation here. But a spoiled wife demanding her husband get their son into a rich private school and that is why he poses as a black woman over radio is just the ultimate in terrible shit reasoning.

I hope it isn't terrible. I get irritated at the idea of anyone other than Gaiman using the Endless characters, and while the DCAU is mostly great, they also have a history of producing some flat performances. Not every actor is qualified to do voice work
The woman in the shadows with the elegant sigh.
What could a common man do to catch her eye?
Her easy manner shames me, oh I hate myself so much!
I tremble and I'm breathless and I'm begging for her touch.
She sees my anguished urges but continues smirking by,
If I dare to follow her, it's likely that I'll die.
But even as she's feeding, as my body's torn apart,
Will she think upon me kindly?
When she slowly eats my heart?

Not really. Her face model is unambiguously a Black woman. But, like Kitana represents the fantasy Japanese woman, Jade is a Black fantasy character as opposed to Jacqui Briggs' explicitly Black American.

Magasiva's co-stars Jason Chan (Cam), Glenn McMillan (Dustin), and Adam Tuominen (Hunter) have paid their tribute to him.
