That's what I would say. Think of it like Superman...he's biologically Kryptonian, but he was raised as an American from the midwest. The sci-fi part of his background doesn't erase the American farmer part.

Yeah and it doesn't even have to be in a linear way. The upbringing can be shown in flashbacks or whatever.

One of my friends from high school/college went to prison because he stupidly found that woman's number online and while drunk called her and recited the intro of M.E.T.H.O.D.MAN, he MIGHT have gotten the judge to see it as a just a prank but he started rambling about Kobe. (This was right when the story broke).

Interstate threats or something like that. It was one of the dumbest things I've ever heard anyone do and it really derailed the guys life.

A flyer from the local con coming up...it will be the first year I don't vend and will instead just be a customer/browser. But the main reason I posted this is because of the match up of characters. The only one that doesn't make sense is War Machine and Green Lantern. I do remember back in the day with Amalgam comics, those two characters (well it was Iron Man) were merged and became Iron Lantern...maybe that's what inspired this artist.

Typically, Tony Stark & Hal Jordan are paired up (larger than life humans with external sources of power)....so I can understand James & John being paired up here.

And yet Roman Polanski was a festival darling for decades.

Seriously, I'd completely forgotten about this rape allegation until this story came out because he was cleared of the charge.

I don't know why people feel that "punishment" outside the law is appropriate. We can't see if Kobe did this or not, but if he didn't do it, they are only punishing an innocent man.
