It's not just that they are profiting off it, it's like people are being deliberately placed against each other. However, this isn't an excuse for the bigotry and racism that we see online.

People profiting off outrage culture isn't new, it's the apparent scale and depth of it that's eye opening.
Absolutely. I always think, "Why don't they just read the press releases the companies put out and at least get the story straight?" But of course the truth is that they know their audience won't and there's money to be made from fake outrage.

IIRC, Jon Kent (like Iceman) wasn't Bendis's creation. And yes, I know different writers across a long-lived comic character come with the territory. Still, compare how Jon was just before he came on and try to tell me the sudden aging-up among other things wasn't a total swerve.

None of these things are that so-called woke, but the truth doesn't matter. People have careers now misrepresenting such things. Every now and then the mask will slip and it's clear that they don't even care about what they are saying and it's just a con game, but their audience sticks with them though...

Why read press releases when you can read facebook posts and memes?

Whats this thing about Kyrie Irving.

The guy is risking his career and possibly millions just because he doesn't want to take a vaccine?

People are weird. As an adult sportsman, he's probably been injected with all manner of drugs, not to mention that he was probably vaccinated as a child against the standard illnesses..why draw this arbitrary line at a vaccine?

During a public health crisis, we all have a collective responsiblity to fight the pandemic but people are displaying astonishing levels of selfishness. Hearing stuff like this (just like the Nicki Minaj thing) is utterly baffling.

Hey, this kind of criticism of writers in the comics industry isn't some new thing that some "cabal" of fragile redditors or what-have-you just now invented, and especially not with Bendis specifically. It's kind of been a thing with him for a while now.

The thing about kyrie irving is that he is one of those dudes that smokes weed and things they are smart lol

He is some weirdo (he was a flat earther) who thinks he is a martyr for whatever cause goes through his head at 3AM while high.

He thinks he is "standing up for"... something? Who knows... because when reporters ask him, he just acts like he is annoyed and is too good for them. Then he goes on IG live and rambles for awhile while saying nothing.

I mean... he is big on his native american ancestory and ignores how decimated they were by covid and how their vaccination rates are now crazy high.

And now he is the poster boy for Fox lol.

At least Jonathon Isaacs cooky ass stands up and says why he is doing what he is doing. Irving doesn't even know.

... and then Irving will go and do GREAT things for the community with his money. Can't ignore that part.

But, he is an idiot who thinks he is smarter than everyone. He was a cancer in Cleveland that was only controlled by Lebron, then cancer in Boston, and now a cancer in BKN.

And yes... Irving has had multiple surgeries nad procedures done because he is always hurt.

    Because it became political.

"old school" anti vaxxers were seen as nuts and cooky. But at least they believed in something lol. They don't get any vaccines and think they cause autism and whatever else. Dumb, but theyve been around for a long time (thanks Jenny McCarthy!)

These "new school" anti vaxxers are just covid only anti vaxxers. They fall into three groups really... group 1 are libertarian types who don't like being told what to do. group 2 are facebook/IG/YT nutjobs who fell into conspiracy theory holes. And type 3 are right wing idiots sucked into Fox/Newsmax/Whatever (while ignoring they are all vaccinated lol).

Well, you have a type 4, which are minorities still stuck on the "muh Tuskegee experiments!" that can't see why this isn't the same at all for some reason. I guess they fall into group 2.

Has marijuana ever been shown to make anyone smarter?

And why was he a flat Earther? Is it some Christian influence?

I can understand African Americans being wary of medical experiments. But on the other hand, African Americans, like all non-White Americans, are being left behind when it comes to proper medical care

As other people have stated, if this vaccine really was dangerous to black people, they would not have tried it on rich white people first.

    Exactly this.

Kyrie is a bit of an conspiracy theorist, flat earther.

His points of view don't make sense.
