Yeah, Slade was an Anti Hero at worst but TERRA was the sociopathic Demon Seed that was the real villain and the comic is pretty clear on that point.

This is pretty indefensible by today's standards and was suspect even at the time(remember I was talking about the media and teeny-banging? I'm sure Wolfman and Perez saw how Brooke Shields and Linda Blair were presented back in the day and thought "**** it, we can do that too.")

The DVD acknowledged Slade as being the more evil of the two. They excised the rape but made it clear that Slade was manipulating a teenage girl. It was Wolfman that didn't get with the program.

The funny thing is (to me anyway)there's 50/50 chance of her really not knowing.

Given how insular most big stars make themselves in the first place and her not really being an R&B act at all, and knowing or caring about R. Kelly's issues has been a brother thing for a bit.

She might have very well just said something like "Get me the 'Bump and Grind' guy to collab with" (I know she said she'd been a fan of Kelly's for a long time but, c'mon...that's what they ALWAYS say).

Now her backup band could have clued her at any time....assuming they even speak to her.
