Meanwhile, yahoo news has removed their comments section.

I guess they just found out the comment section is like something out of "Daily Stormer" or something.

Seriously, the sheer hatred and frankly cruel comments on yahoo news was absolutely insane.

"They" in this context is VERIZON who now owns Yahoo. I imagine the new owner(s) said "WTF nooo shut THIS down" when he saw what the comments section is really like.

    Very true.

Opening the comment section of any yahoo news article could make one's eyes bleed.

It seems comics and games often have the exact same controversies happening around the exact same time in recent years:

    * Push backs against diversity and politics in media.

    * Harassing, doxing and threatening creators.

    * Sexual assault and other forms of sexual impropriety.

    * Backlash from fans over modest female designs.

    * Poor mistreatment of employees.

Other industries have some of these problems but games and comics are the only ones that seem to have all of them and at the same time.

The comments section was one of the reasons I backed away from Yahoo.

I have a funny follow up to Terrence Trent D'ardy (who at some point changed his name) being a winner of the cancel culture awards during the 20th century.

I've being bumping Wishing Well, and the song still holds up.

There's no smoking gun per se of them saying "Yes we at Verizon saw what was going on with Yahoo comments and said 'ew'". But they did buy them in 2017 (started in 2016 completed in 2017 I believe) and we're slowly seeing the results of that buyout. Ex.: apparently there's now a Yahoo mobile.

And now Wiley is going on antisemitic rants with debunked antisemitic claims about jews and is also claiming coronavirus is nothing serious

Terence Trent D'Arby's music now, as Sananda Maitreya, is...ok. IMO an acquired taste but not bad.

WORST AND don't let the story be about a BLACK person or Obama.

Nor be about Kaep-although Yahoo fanned those flames WORST than the comment section. Those writers badmouth so many players to say Kaep belonged in the NFL, I could understand folks going off on them about that and they did.

Other than that-Yahoo needs to keep comments OFF. Along with everyone else.

Both share the same set of entitlement BRATS.

Both have fought against diversity and women in said industries.

Yet when you pull back the curtain at both said diversity has been there in some form.

The truth is a lot more people than we think have bought into "conspiracy theories" in recent years.

Even people that I know that I "thought" were clear headed now subscribe to some very disturbing ideology.

Almost 2 weeks old post, but my goodness, was this a read, and a sad one at that.

So many of those great 2020 Marvel Comic plans, seemingly down the drain. And it's almost always the women, trans, non-binary, and the people of color who are made to suffer when the "hard decisions" have to be made.
