Yes. Matta fact right before the pandemic I just finished IFS2 and I kinda rocked with it. Davos was cool and it still was 2 episodes too long but it was far and away better than Season 1 and I even kinda dug Ward Meechum's little arc to a point. You put supers in live action on television there needs to be characters like those, he was very 616 imo. And yes the whole corporate takeover arc which took waaay to much time to develop and never even end or conclude, was just an anchor around Season 1. Then too that's what that particular white-washed character deserved. Without David Carradine's corny show back in the early 70s, there prolly wouldn't be an Iron Fist to begin with.
Beefing up the old home security, huh?

Just going back a few years, Janet Jackson was more or less cancelled after the superbowl fiasco, Sinead O'Connor was cancelled for tearing a picture of the pope, The Dixie Chicks were cancelled so hard that their songs tumbled down the charts and even Colin Kapernick was all but cancelled for kneeling down during the national anthem. All of this spear headed by "conservative outrage". Going further back, actors and film makers were cancelled for being labelled "communist" and comic book creators (like the EC guys) were treated like weirdos and more or less cancelled back then for producing stuff that seemed to promote "juvenile delinquency" (it must also be noted that those comics were quite progressive for the time).

The difference is now is that some dickheads try to hide behind "free speech" to say and in some cases actually do all sort of nonsense to escape consequences. Basically, the "cancellers" are now the victims of a culture that they helped perpetuate. That's not to say i support people being cancelled (it really depends on the circumstances) but a lot of guys crying about cancel culture are the worst sort of hypocrites and probably won't even defend Cannon because he's a black man and doesn't identify as a conservative.

All this being said, Nick Cannon has a rich history of saying dumb ****. People need to understand that dumb decisions have consequences.
I've always wondered if Terence Trent D'Arby was cancelled after comparing his debut album to the Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper".

Being cancelled is a by-product of free speech.

Think twice before you say or do anything on a public platform.

I'd totally watch a Doctor Who episode where Kanye is travels in the TARDIS with Harriet Tubman.

The issue with cancel culture is that they cherry pick rage.

Is not apart of free sppech when you cherry pick who you want to get rid of.

Some of those trolls just want attention.

    Yet it targets certain folks.

TTD was pretty arrogant back then. Wont be surprised if he got cancelled because of it.

People really need to think before they talk or post stuff on social media. Saying stupid **** will always get you in trouble, cancel culture or no cancel culture.

Its not that hard to not say dumb ****.

Nor was it the Shonen power up action.

They did corrupt business/dysfunctional family drama with conspiracy stuff thrown in.

Pretty anything you might have wanted to see in a Iron Fist story you weren't getting even if that dude could do credible fight scenes.
Oh man it was awful, I didn't even really care for what story they were going to do I just wanted good fights. It should've been Daredevil vs Nobu on steroids but the fight scenes were pitiful.
Reading List (Super behind but reading them nonetheless):
    DC: Currently figuring that out
    Marvel: Read above

Other: The Antagonist, Something is Killing the Children, Avatar: TLAB
Manga: My Hero Academia, MHA: Vigilanties, Soul Eater: the Perfect Edition, Berserk, Hunter X Hunter, Witch Hat Atelier, Kaiju No. 8

Funny enough, Iron Fist was so boring that i never finished any season of it.

It was boring and just wrong on a conceptual level.

The entire series was one big L.

Meanwhile, what exactly is happening with Kanye West?

The guys is literally trying to blow up his career, his friendships and even his marriage.

The guy desperately needs an intervention.

If I remember TTD had smoke for anybody who didn't feel he was on Michael Jackson level of talent too. I had a potna that rocked tough for dude and this was in the 90's. He nearly had me convinced til I snapped back to reality. Talented cat for sho but... c'mon.

It's no secret that he's bipolar and that he refuses to take his medication. His family has even said that he occasionally goes on manic episodes and they just ride it out until he goes back tp normal. What I find interesting is that his family and management team let him go in public when he's in this state. They can't force him to take his meds, but you'd think they'd say something like, "Hey let's wait a few more days before you do that press conference, Kanye."

I mean, doesn't he have an album coming out?

Seems to coincide with this weird stuff.

People last time said he was committing career suicide and pretty sure he did just fine.

You could say that he may come off his meds when he is in album mode bc it makes him more creative (those psyche drugs can dull your mind a bit by design)... so by the time he gets to promotion time, he is in full on manic states a lot more frequently.

Or this is just all bullshit to promote himself.

Either or. But people can't stop themselves from listening to his **** and buying his **** so i doubt eh cares much

Yeah, I'm starting to believe that a lot of his "act" is bullshit.

His fantasy is scary loyal. No matter how much he bullshits or humiliates himself in public, some people still defend him.

The only issue is in 2020 people are apparently dumber than ever and some people are believing his disinformation.

Ubisoft Family Accused of Mishandling Sexual Misconduct Claims. Article by Jason Schreier

Allegations of harassment and sexism extended far beyond Hascoët and his subordinates. In 2015 a group of staff in Sofia, Bulgaria, were watching a trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens featuring the actor John Boyega, who’s Black. “People just collectively went, ‘Hey, look, it’s a monkey,’” says Fey Vercuiel, a former designer on the team.
Nina Stewart was working at Ubisoft’s customer service center in Morrisville, N.C., last year when, she says, her manager started making strange comments to her. He would detail other women’s bodies in explicit ways and make derogatory comments about hers, she says. “He’d make sexist and fatphobic remarks about me to my whole team,” Stewart says. “Every time he’d say something disgusting, I’d tell him that was inappropriate. I’d say, ‘That makes me uncomfortable.’”
Stewart went to Ubisoft HR twice about her manager, and both times she was told to “talk it out” with him, she says. It was only after her third visit, she says, when a male co-worker corroborated her claims, that the company removed her boss. “I received a thank-you card from HR,” Stewart says. Attached to the note was a $200 Visa gift card, she says. Stewart, who’s left the company, calls it a “trash employer.”
Béland was a trusted lieutenant of the creative chief. He was also known for his quick temper and a tendency to scream at subordinates during meetings, say four people who worked in the office. Two of those people say they saw Béland touch women inappropriately at holiday parties and other work events. Béland was also accused of choking an employee at a party, according to the video game website Kotaku. The choking story was regularly shared among staff in Toronto, say the people who worked there, as a warning about the executive. Béland didn’t respond to multiple requests for comment.
A woman who worked at headquarters says she faced repeated harassment there. Colleagues sent her sexually explicit messages, including pornographic videos, she says. François, who was several levels above her on the organizational chart, asked her out for a drink four or five times, and she refused each invitation, she says. The woman, who asked not to be identified over concerns that speaking publicly would damage her career, says she reported all of the incidents to HR and nothing happened. Later she was told she would have to move to an Ubisoft studio in a different country. She did, and says she was frequently told there “you can’t be a producer—you’re a woman.” Less than a year after relocating, she quit.
