Are you just thinking about Sam and Rhodey? Rhodey is military through and through but that is his character.

Sam is military but also went "free agent" when he wanted ot... he was a contractor meaning, once again, he got to choose his missions.
I heard Marvel Studios works with the Pentagon in real life. Idk, maybe that's not true

Well, I remember that Captain Marvel was pretty tied to the military. I think the Air Force used the movie as a way to get more women to join. I never really thought anything of it.

Ok. I'm not strictly anti-military as a whole, but after seeing what's happened since 9-11 (and maybe even before it), I'm a bit wary of anything that could come off as promoting the M-I complex. But I can't really say for sure in this regard

Isn't Carols' comic origin tied into the airforce? So they were just following the comics, not promoting the military.

Military didn't come off well anyway, wouldn't let her fly real missions because she wa s awoman in the movie lol

Yeah, I've heard the military has had problems with sexism. But what institution doesn't?

It's not just Marvel but if you make a movie and want to use official military equipment or shoot on a base or use shots of real jets or whatever, the military has to get script approval. This has been a thing for decades.

This definitely was a thing. I saw those ads more than a couple of times.

I know. But it seems a bit "have their cake and eat it too."

What's with all this many militarized Superheroes compliants as if all the MCU superheroes work for the government?

Here is a question.....out of all the MCU movies and series, how many of the superheroes are militarized inuding each superhero in superhero teams?

Maybe so much complaining as questioning. As least, that's what I was trying to get at.

Well, yeah...it "criticizes" the military for sexism, but the sexism is set 30 thirty years ago. The audience is supposed to think that's the past and things are all better now. The movie is not going to talk about how poorly the military handles things like say sexual assault today. And while the Kree Empire are the bad guys, the film certainly isn't going to point out examples of American imperialism.

I'm not saying it's obligated to either. I mean, it's popcorn flick. Hell, the whole reason Carol is a superhero in the first place is because Marvel wanted to secure the trademark name (Ms. Marvel/Capt Marvel). It is what it is.

I don't expect them to go into stuff like sexual assault. But I can see how setting it 30 years ago makes it seem like "oh, it's all in the past". But it's really not

Some of y'all expecting a lot of a movie about a test pilot who got hit by the shockwave of a glowy cube that ended up being an infinity stone that gave her amnesia and superhuman powers where she was then taken in by an alien race that used her in a military hit squad thing against a race of green shapeshifters.....

    just saying haha.

    Dear Mehcad Brooks,

AH... bro, look, I've said some less than favorable things about, certain career choices and used that to pin a certain nickname when addressing you. It was kinda rude on my part and I ain't the type to apologize with a qualifier but you were in a Tyler Perry movie looking the whole Tyler Perry part. I mean wtf was I supposed to do with that, honestly? Anywho, I won't be using that name anymore (although I reserve the right to use MEHcad if need be) but I really dug Mortal Kombat and you as Jax. Only thing I didn't get was a freakin' MK3 level Jax combo on a fool but you looked the part and I was entertained! Muh Bad dawg. Take it easy!
Beefing up the old home security, huh?
    You bet yer ass.
