Yeah as others have said, I can't see him inserting himself into the Fiend/Strowman story--although Strowman's potential heel turn gives Otis a cash in chance.

Most people expect Mandy or Sonya to somehow end up with the briefcase.

Smackdown does arguably need a top face (Braun at this point is a tweener at best).

From a storytelling perspective, cashing in on a wrestler after a difficult gimmick match would make sense. And that would fall under the "you'll never see it coming" category. I wouldn't go so far as to predict it happening... but it's not a terrible idea.

I think they pointed out that MitB has to cash in on the Smackdown world champ, but I do think it's a cool idea if they can literally cash in on ANY title. Raw, NXT, Tag, etc. I think there's an extra element of intrique when there's a question mark as to what title they are going to cash in on.

I think they wanted to wait until they could have a live audience again to have Otis cash in, but now that they realize that's not going to happen as soon as they had thought, maybe they'll have him cash in in front of a Thunder-dome audience.

Honestly I think Smackdown needs him more since they're lacking a top face.... but Lee should do well on the main roster.

And I guess that's a big part of why the Undisputed Era seemingly turned face. Lee leaves a sort of void as the top face of that brand.

Looks like the Smackdown writers agreed with them lacking top face--however the lines definitely looked blurred out there.
