Seeing the SHIELD again is cool.

But the problem is that together as faces they are almost too dominant. Last time we saw the SHIELD it took Miz, the Bar, Kane, and Braun to feud with them... and the SHIELD still won. Ambrose almost needs to turn heel, because collectively they're too strong.

But it does give heel GM Corbin something to feud with I suppose. He can just throw everything at them.

They only won because the heels spent more time fighting Braun than the Shield.

It's not just the reaction he generates (though that's certainly a good indicator). Last I heard, he along with AJ were the top merch sells in the company outside of the non full time guys like Cena.

No, I just seem to have a better understanding of a shades of grey character than most in this thread. WWE doesn't really care about Roman as a face or a heel and it's blatantly obvious. I thought reuniting The Shield to deal with Strauwman was a masterstroke. Everyone knows the 2017 reunion was a disaster (and no JD, you lying snake, it wasn't because Roman "wasn't over", but because nobody was healthy long-term to continue it) so the reset button when Reigns and Rollins both have gold does the group a world of good. If only there was another title on RAW for Dean to hold (unless he and Rollins take back the tag titles next), Braun's time will come for sure, but they're not going to give it to the fans instantly. They're giving the monster among men a formiddable mountain to climb or run through to get to Roman.

Fans want something instantly and that only really works when Vince is backed into a corner. Long-term planning in wrestling can be risky due to a number of factors, but sometimes the patience pays off.

I think Braun short term at least will end up joining forces with Ziggler and Drew since they are feuding with Seth and Dean anyways.

Corbin is match maker, so He'll probably just force the issue as Braun doesn't seem the type to seek allies.
