I liked having a dominant heel champ.

But yeah... Akira should have had a longer title reign. Short reigns like that never do anyone any favors.

Wow...so what , like a year or two he sit at home basically ? This is insane to see the WWE sit so long on someone and not get them back on TV or attempt to.

well that's not what you said to kick this discussion off.

But I think the bottom line is that if it works then it works. And I think if reuniting the shield reunion generates fan interest, makes sense storyline wise, and sells some merch then the WWE is fine doing it. It works if the shield are reunited and it works if they're not. We got the shield not reunited for almost a year, so now they're doing the other thing.
yeah everybody knows nothing really matters in the end, but this is why the quality of the promotion is so blah and lacking for stars despite the HUGE talent pool.

From purely a storytelling perspective, sure. If they are all faces and all friends and all on the same brand why wouldn't they watch each others back, the same way they have been doing for the past couple weeks? You almost have to make up a reason to explain why they wouldn't.

My point being what we saw made perfect sense, and the fans seemed into it. It's not likely Seth or Dean would be in the main event picture anyways given we have a face champ, so they'really not really losing out either.

I have no problem with a dominant heel champ, personally. It's just that after Akira beat him, he probably should've been used to elevate Gallagher, Ali, or Alexander while Gulak could've had a title feud with Akira since he was getting hot at that time. At least, that's just my own opinion. /shrugs

It's possible wwe attempted to get him back and Neville just wasn't interested. He walked out on them after all. Either way, it's a shame. I thought wwe used him reasonably well in NXT and 205 live. Neville obviously disagreed though.

By the time Neville got to Tozawa he beat everyone there was to beat in the division. There was nothing left for him. The best thing for him was to be evaluated back to the main roster but the company didn't want that.

Being used well in 205 isn't going to matter if you know you will not be evaluated past that point.

And he still could've been used to elevate/put over someone else. I really don't give a damn about him going back to the main roster because it had nothing to do with what I posted.

He was on the main roster prior to being on 205 Live, and honestly I thought he was cooler in 205 live personally.

He was this dominant beast on 205 live, because he was bigger and stronger than anyone else there while still being just as fast and agile. On the main roster, he just becomes a fast agile guy. He makes for a great mid-carder on RAW who can have a good match with anyone, but I just was more into him in 205 personally.
