Impact does many things better than WWE these days, I agree with that.

Speaking of which, WOW is Tessa Blanchard a freaking star in the making, she's got all the tools.

I think of Tessa as a better, prettier and bitcher Charlotte. To think that HHH passed on signing her.

Rob Van Dam discussed his 1st run of TNA/Impact and his honest feelings about why he left. Rob brings up how things seemed to go talent wise as the company strung him along awhile on signing a new deal. That they had agreed on all contract points and was waiting on the date to start again. But the date would never come or contract to sign.

Rob has had a rough couple years in 2015/2016 , his wife and him divorced ...his dog died and then his dad.

Scott D'Amore is the one who basically brought back Rob as he started booking him for more dates and finally got him signed back.

It is interesting that she wasn't signed after being in the Mae Young classic. I wonder if there's a reason for that. Maybe WWE developmental didn't pay as much as she could make in the indies or whatever. In the least she's better than most of the women they did end up signing from that event.

She was passed over. She didn't turn them down. She spoke about how she cried in her car when they didn't sign her.

She looked like a total badass the other day, and the crowd was totally behind her and her babyface turn.

Meltzer reported that relations between AEW and New Japan are not peachy. There's debate among AEW top brass if they should acknowledge Moxley being the IWGP US champ. New Japan requested that Moxley not mention AEW in his promos.

It makes sense as a natural consequence of NJPW and ROH still being partners. I’m inclined to think that AEW would do better giving way to NJPW’s preferences for now, but as time goes on, they need to be able to assert themselves somehow.

Moxley with the belt at AEW events would be beneficial to some amount, but isn’t necessary, so long as he’s still really, really good. Of course, Moxley also seems creative enough they could have him do some fun oblique references to NJPW when in AEW as a bit f a rib at the situation of they wanted to.

Ultimately, the one thing AEW doesn’t want is to make an enemy of NJPW when they don’t have to.
Like action, adventure, rogues, and outlaws? Like anti-heroes, femme fatales, mysteries and thrillers?

I wrote a book with them. Outlaw’s Shadow: A Sherwood Noir. Robin Hood’s evil counterpart, Guy of Gisbourne, is the main character. Feel free to give it a look: https://read.amazon.com/kp/embed?asi...E2PKBNJFH76GQP

    EDIT:
Blocks will announced next week officially but it sounds like Mox will be with Ishii and Suzuki out of your dream list.

And isn't Jericho in this G-1, too!? Might be the most stacked G-1 since 20! HYPE!

I suppose they want to avoid situations like what happened with PAC, where he is champion in another organization and wants to be protected to some degree. I imagine New Japan wouldn't be happy if they belt a belt on Moxley only to see him jobbed out elsewhere... not that I think AEW would job him out as he's obviously the hottest wrestler in the organization at the moment. Probably moreso than even Omega and Jericho at the moment.

But it's something I suppose you always need to be aware of when you share talent.

Ultimately I'll wager New Japan realizes that AEW is the hotter chick at the bar than ROH and will eventually kick them to the curb, so it won't matter. But to their credit they value loyatly and are sticking with them for now.

The people AEW are the biggest threat to aren't the WWE, who despite their recent issues are still basically bullet proof. It's the other WWE alternatives like ROH and Impact. That's who AEW will likley kill off.

Hell the tag team division is a joke on SD. Put him in a tag team.

Team him up with Shelton Benjamin, his hired tag team specialist. Team him up with Luke Harper as his hobo assistant.

And it's not even the whole doghouse thing. There are a bunch of loyal no drama having workers in the WWE who are in the same position.
