Except I found the Maria thing stupidly funny in the moment. But all in all, it didn't make any sense at all.

Yeah, the Maria thing was kinda funny but it was also uncomfortable. Either way, it stands out. I'm not sure where they can go with it though.

It doesn't take much contrived bullsit to justify Seth not hitting Lacey. The reason this all came about in the first place was because Lacey was chosen as Barons special guest referre precisely because he know Seth wouldn't make good on his promise to demolish whomever Corbin chose as his ref. It's not that uncommon for some women to not want to strike women.

Though obviously it doesn't go both ways. Women hitting men is perfectly fine. We already saw that last night.

That's my big problem with it. If you're going to do it, you gotta go both ways on it. Otherwise don't do it at all. Like Impact just had: spoilers:

If you want to make Becky tap out Mike Kanellis, fine. But then don't turn around and go "oh but Corbin cannot put his hands on her in their match, or Seth with Lacey." Especially in an Extreme Rules match. Either do it, or don't basically.

I don't see chivalry holding up when there are belts on the line. Strategically speaking, Corbin going after Becky would be his best shot at winning the title.

At least in Seths case, it should. It held up at the last PPV... that was the point of Corbin choosing Lacey. He knew he wouldn't hit her.

But in theory the same might not hold true for Corbin. We'll see.

They continue to book Kofi pretty strongly, good. I'm still really conflicted on who I want to see win this though.

KO coming across as kind of babyface-ish against Shane was, interesting.

No Asuka & Kairi this week, boo.

Big E really should get a single's push at some point, he's great. In fact, he's probably the most all-around talented member of the New Day imo.

Yeah, i was wondering if they're going to turn KO face. It seems like they are building a feud with him and Ziggler, and Ziggler obviously has to play the heel. KO is good as heel or face (even though he's a better heel), because he's funny.

I'm still half expecting Big E to turn on Kofi at some point. WWE stables tend to do that, and I do agree that Big E is ready for a singles push. As it Xavier for that matter. He'd actually get my vote as the most all-around talent member of New Day. Not that I think Xavier can be a top star or anything, but he could be an IC/US title guy. It would be sad if/when New Day finally breaks up though, because it's clearly more than a gimmick.

As an Upupdowndown fan, seeing Samoa Joa and Kofi going against each other seems a bit strange. (Seeing how cordial they are with each other in real life).

I agree that Big E deserves a solo run. The guy's got all the tools.
