I think some of us are just trying to be somewhat charitable at this point.

Sans diplomacy, I can say that Coates on BP remains an ongoing disasterpiece.

From now on read all remaining issues to this soundtrack and it should come off much better I pinky swear...

Also the Killmonger/BP train fight looks cool with them just in the suits. Much better on DVD, but yea they could have not put so much CGI over it.
These behind the scenes videos just make one appreciate just how much love Coogler and everyone involved put into it.

A truer example of an ensemble piece, I haven't seen post the LOTR movies.

I'm not up to speed on the current BP intergalatic stuff.

Is it as boring as the last run or far better?

I dropped off of the last run pretty early but I joined back in with this. I like it a lot better than what I read of the first stretch of Coates' BP, and I think the storytelling is much improved. But as you can probably tell from this thread, your mileage may vary...

I also dropped off fairly early on the BP series only to come back
On this new one. People aren't wrong on saying the old ones were boring and lacked any characterization for BP. While I can't say that particular issue has really been fixed yet, this book has been fun so far.

Right now, I'd say BP is like a summer action movie: fun to look at in the moment, but you're probably going to forget about it when it's done.

I never said people would love it, I made it clear that people wouldn't be singing his name from rooftops, as I still believe that the art is carrying the story, BUT it would of been Better received because acuna is Killing it, and Tchalla is actually shown as being capable of doing stuff that a enhanced Human can do. Bit letting people punch him do he can force push him, or letting goon slam Gary put hands on him. It's like Evan narcisse, was he the next Hudlin? No, did he need to improve still? Yes, but his story sustained better than all the other spin offs and if he was given as much support Coates has been given I think he would be a fine BP writer.

Back to space empire, your right, as of now it looks like Coates is phoning it in or just using MCU aspects like it was His plan all along. Which this season is vastly different from the previous 2 as if he got a kick in the pants. But if he started out this way, atleast it would of appeared that he respected Tchalla enough to have him handling business and fans can tell he was an amateur at the craft but was trying at least

It is action and art based. If you like Acuna's art you should enjoy it.

Plot wise, there really isn't much to chew on yet.

Speaking of faces, I rewatched BP again

And the end, when Killmonger sees the sunset, you seem to catch a glimpse of Killmonger realizing what he could have had in life (and maybe what he could have had if he didn't storm into wakanda murdering people lol).

His demeanor, which was nothing but hurt and anger the entire time before, changes so much that it basically melts T'challa to the point he wants to help the dude he just stabbed .

The acting in BP was 100% on point all around.
