400 is rarified air in the MCU. It might have gotten their if it beat WW to the punch but nah... it ain't doing that. GoG2 didn't even do that. So, under for sure.

that 821 is real tricky though due to the MCU hot streak (except AM2 which was never expected to do crazy numbers). Just in recent times, GoG2, Homecoming, Ragnorak, BP, IW have all beaten that. But those are also some weird outlier type movies (sequel, team ups, BLACK, mega event).

Yea 750 would be a massive success, but if these pundits want to set her up for failure by boasting she'll be the next 1 billy franchise because of what T'Challa did... bless their hearts. Under 400m domestic seems like a logical bet. International can be a little more tricky: both GotG movies averaged around 450 overseas, but both Thor R and SM:HC averaged around 550. 100 milly swing, or the difference between the 700s and 800s.

I'ma be generous and say Carol will do a solid 800 mil WW. But I'ma say it's going to be 350-400 maybe for domestic. Unless her newer trailers show her being note dynamic or Av4 shows off some good isht.

As for Coates Story. The time thing is interesting, though like you said It will likely be ignored and Tchalla will be deaged do to work hole shenanigans, same with Nakia.
That's the only explanation (even though Tchalla doesn't look any older in the preview Either so it probably won't be a thing) but it May be like what happened to Sam after secret empire when he lived. Full life time in a matter of minutes

T'challa got caught in an awkward time period for he wasn't quite introduced int he MCU yet but Hickman put 5 years of work into him. The solo had to come when it did.

Then it did, but it had no MCU to copy, so marvel just gave a big name writer full power to do whatever he wanted.

Then, only after the movie blew up, did they realize it looked absolutely nothing like the comics and they are slowly trying to course correct now.

I was just thinking about how it's really annoying to see drastic retcons in Marvel canon. It completely rewrites history in a way that goes beyond the time and patience to try to contextualize; at least for someone like me and the people over at the Wiki who archive this stuff.

Does not matter what Captain Marvel makes. She still should not be pushed over Black Panther. It's not getting anywhere near 600m in America. The money here is more important because they make a bigger % of the money here then overseas. it's clearly not about money, it's about color
