yeah I'm watching it now. Thats how I'd ben watching I just assumed they didn't put it up till 9pm EST. Thats how CW streams and some other networks work. I guess Disney is different

We'll know one way or another in a day or so, but i think i get what Coates is trying to do here.

It's essentially the 3rd act of the movie. But before he could get to that point he needed T'Challa and the readers invested in the nucharacters. That's why he chose the repetitive nature of the first handful of issues to slow build us on M'Baku, Erik, but specifically Nakia as T'Challa's trusted day 1 through thick n thin. Then once he drilled that into our heads, he fast-forwarded 5 years for emphasis. It could've been done smoother no doubt, but the objective was still met where we can more readily accept her for what she could end up being.

Also, at this point, you have a defeated T'Challa... in the snowy mountains of an outcast colony (or tribe) led by M'Baku... while King Killmonger rules over however many galaxies (or Wakandan tribes)... sounds familiar, no?
