That would be my guess. Now whether that's issue 13 or whatever, I don't know.

Yeah, in Infinity War he was, like, 65-75% Dr. Strange and the rest was quippy Tony Stark-lite Strange.

Maybe he's just still growing into the role and won't feel "finalized" until he reaches Sorcerer Supreme status. Or Tony Stark brings out his snarky side .

Captain America #3 had BP as a big supporting character. Although I got the feeling early in that Coates would have preferred to have Okoye being there as Caps backup by herself. Lol. But it worked out well.

That actually wasn't bad at all.

    I am pleasantly surprised.

IDK if I truly like T'challa taking out a problem from his solo in another book but at least the problem is taken care of finally....

Man almighty, what lecture did Coates get after the BP movie blew up? BP and Okoye are best buds again. IDK what CB Yoshida said but I won't complain lol.

I don't know about this as she has never been prominent in Hollywood movies even though she's a Nigerian actress.

Yeah it's like a different ball game lol he got his ass chewed. I'm not a fan either of stane Being taken out in a different book but whatever, at this point I didn't expect him to really finish it up. Faustus got punked in SE and Coates just kinda went Eh about it in BP even though he was being made to be a bigger threat then he is.

So i guess Stane got away after T'challa punched him in his own book lol?

The saga of Stane is odd as F

    - partners with Tetu to supply weapons

    - thinks hes caught T'challa in a trap, wants to be king or some ****, drove off by t'challa and the crew

    - partners with Zenzi and Faustus... who are really under Klaw? gets drove off again

    - goes to america and somehow climbs the ranks??? gets caught by T'challa

    like... wut lol

ANd if this **** was a cartoon, the grand plan would be for Stane to get caught so he can partner with Tetu in Wakanda prison to make daring escape!

I take solace in that the first Coates arcs are forgettable and easily ignored..........except when y'all keep bringing up rape camps every 30 or so pages.

I'd be stunned if they weren't. Gotta sell toys.

They have sold claws for two movies now, time to move to something else. A spear or daggers are coming for sure.

I'm not really feeling the spear unless they make it really showy like a lightsaber or intricate with some special feature. I associate spears with the Doras, so I'd prefer t'Challa have a unique weapon.

I've been meaning to make it a long and detailed post (preferably on HEF) for a long while now, but I firmly believe that T'Challa's new ranged weapons should be the Kimoyo beads.

The idea came from my thought on how to do a Black Panther video game within the knowledge I had on this new Spider-Man PS4 game. But what I like about the Kimoyo beads are that:

    1. They're a common, canonical and versatile piece of tech now
    2. They have an African aesthetic which is unique
    3. They're 'physical' enough to be understandable but high tech enough to feel cool
    4. The movie has shown different types of them, from the EMP beads and the Remote Access Kimoyo beads

This to me is a good way for T'Challa to have his own 'batarangs' that still unique and relevant to his concept, versatile enough to be multi-use, with each one having a specific purpose, rather than an energy dagger that does whatever the plot needs it to.

Now I do like the energy daggers, and I feel like Priest has still used them the best. But everything from their appearance, frequency, and function has been very inconsistent. Plus, I don't think they look or are very unique. Beads work because they've got that Afrofuturistic aesthetic, can be hidden in plane sight and are easily dispensable. If I were to make a defined set, it'll be something like:

    1. EMP beads (blue): Used to take count electronic devices such as cars and other vehicles. Can be thrown directly at the object or triggered to release a pulse.
    2. Remote access beads (orange): Used to take control over any electronic device by granting the Kimoyo OS access to the device. The object can be controlled by T'Challa's Kimoyo built-in suit computer (or Shuri's sand table or whatever).
    3. Kinetic energy beads (purple): Used as handheld grenades that release a powerful and offensive kinetic blast at a target. Enlarge when armed. Can absorb the kinetic energy stored in the Black Panther habit for a more precise offensive and ranged attack.
    4. Gas beads (green): Can release a knockout gas to incapacitate enemies or absorb the gas in an environment.

Then you can have the general set of beads that are in a typical Kimoyo band T'Challa wears on his wrist. I'd have the above beads materialise out of T'Challa's gauntlets the same way the suit materialises out of the necklace in the movie. Say that Kimoyo is linked with T'Challa's thoughts and a specific bead can be summoned just by T'Challa thinking about it (or changing the property of one on his wrist).
