Can't say i found any of the two to be really memorable for being honest but well, they are watchable enough.

The 1984 version is a bit more clever in its narration in my opinion though i would say and, man, that's a sweet ass casting right there.
LOL, all I can remember about the 1984 film was that... it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great... in spite of having a pretty impressive cast! maybe it would have been better if they'd stuck with John Carpenter as the director. (I know "the Thing" didn't do well at the box office... but, it was a fantastic movie)

the last film I watched was "The Northman". it was pretty fun. almost felt like watching a R-rated live-action version of Samurai Jack for some reason.

An anime movie that partly remakes Disney's Beauty and the Beast and partly is its own thing, and it's pretty awesome.

Sorry to Bother You (2018) Brilliant satire. I'm slowly becoming a Tessa Thompson fan. Three stars.

The Suicide Squad (2021) Fluff, but really entertaining fluff. Better in almost every way than the 2016 film. Um...three stars.

I finally saw Joker with Joaquin Pheonix. It kept me interested throughout. A very dark movie but that was expected with this film too.

    Saw Spiral

Chris Rock is the worst actor I have seen in a long time. He as a bad ass cop, I couldn't buy it. Anyway, the Saw franchise is dead for me.

I saw Willow. Let's say that I wasn't as taken with it as others have suggested I would be.

    Yah I wasn't a fan really either.

Not that the films are comparable, in plot or characters, but as far as 1980s non-franchise fantasy films I would pick Legend or Ladyhawke over Willow every day of the week.

Chip and Dale, Rescue Rangers. Worth watching for the inside jokes alone.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

    Poltergeist

The one from the 80´s. I remember everyone talking about it in the 80´s, but never saw it till the end. Now I know what the fuss was all about, that was some scary **** with real violent stuff for its time. Some times a bit cheesy, but overall creepy. I liked it very much so, especially the practical effects with the tree and other stuff.

Good catch. Pleasant surprise to see a scene with a Valkyrie.

    Really good film, nonetheless.

One of my top favorites this year.

My local theater played the Thor Love and Thunder teaser trailer before it, how cheeky of them.
