The Collective-Basic B-movie goodness. With Tyrese, Don Johnson and the magnificent Sasha Banks.

Dead Zone-Micheal Jai white. I could have sworn this movie was made in the 90s and I missed it. Till I saw the Iron Man face template.

The Big Boss aka Fist of Fury ( in America) 1971 starring Bruce Lee. Pretty sure this was Bruce's breakout role ( not counting the Green Hornet show). Bruce goes to live with his cousin's family. They get him a job at the local ice factory where some shenanigans are going on. Bruce's hot headed cousin vows to get to the bottom of things. Tragedies and cover ups ensue. Bruce ultimately gets revenge.

There's unintendedly funny edit where dogs supposedly attack Bruce...

    Flash

Ok, where to start? I enjoyed it, and had many wtf moments. I wouldn't say its a great movie by any means, but how can you not like all the cameos and holy **** Michael Keaton is still the best Batman. This was literally his movie, co starring The Flash. He owned it.

I went in and thought this will be boring or just plain bad, but I had tons of fun with it.

my complaints are Ezra Miller, he is annoying sometimes and I don't see him as Barry Allen, though the costume looks fine.

And the CGI. Sometimes very very good, sometimes the complete opposite. Is it due to reshoots, or how can it change in quality from scene to scene?

Fast X, hard to describe how truly bad this movie was in almost every way.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

The Beekeeper-Wow man movie to the max. If Statham wasn't an action legend before this. He definitely is now. This is his magnum opus. Him and Ayer did the damn thing. With my boy Kurt Wimmer on the script. Must see for action aficionados.

Don't Worry Darling ( 2022 ) directed by Olivia Wilde. Starring Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, Olivia Wilde, and Chris Pine. Ok thriller starring Pugh as a married woman in a 50's science/company town. She starts having strange dreams and begins to question the rules for their community. Pugh and Pines were great. Styles acting range was limited but actually worked for his character's bland personality. It's too bad the behind the scenes gossip in the press over shadowed the actual plot and themes of the movie.

Really liked that movie. Didn't pay attention to the gossip, so I watched it with a open mind.

I watched the Deer Hunter last night. Pretty spectacular movie. Emotionally stunted immature weirdo men go to Vietnam and are forever changed. War is like russian roullette. And the sickest thing about it is how everyone puts up with this pretense of how noble and patriotic it was and is to be a soldier, when all the tragedy that befell that town was borne out of the nastiness of that war. It hit very real to me as my best friend is also from a PA steel town who lost a relative after they came back from Afghanisfan. War is just a sickly insidious thing, a disease. But this movie is not so much about politics as it is about interpersonal relationships and the lives of these men being forever molded and changed by war and their having no ability to self reflect. Excellent film

Haider (2014). An Indian reinvention of Shakespeare's Hamlet, shifting the conflict from 15th century Denmark to 20th century Kashmir. A case study on how to do politics and how not to do politics in storytelling.

Kingdom III (Netflix) the ongoing saga of the unification of China, from a Japanese director. Another solid entry into this exciting movie franchise.
