Even though he doesn't necessarily have a vast rogues gallery, Daredevil still has a solid rogues gallery. I would love to see an underrated Daredevil villain like Mr. Fear brought to the forefront.
Maybe Muse? Or maybe they’ll grab Mary since Iron fist cant use her now

Both of those characters would be good, too.

    SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS
I agree with your observation about the final fight, to the point that I'd say I loved everything about this season except that climax. His big showdown with Fisk ends with him sitting on a chair, pooped, while Fisk talks lovey-dovey to Vanessa one more time, like we needed that? WTF? Also, why Matt repeatedly goes out of his way to save Vanessa's life after he JUST learned that she personally ordered Nadeem's death, and after he's already made the decision to unleash Bullseye on all Fisk's other goons, killing who knows how many in the process. Like...why does she deserve to live, above anyone else in that building? It's kind of implied that she's his insurance against Fisk going after his personal life, but that's stupid, anyway, and doesn't make sense if he really just decided against killing Fisk in the final moment. Kind of a real letdown, all that, not to mention how Matt never takes Bullseye out one on one, as well.

Oddly, Nadeem and Dex were my favorite parts of the show. And that fight scene in episode 4. Good season, overall.

I've tried to explain this previously, but everything about Soule's run has been forced and ineffective.
    - The return to the secret identity was an abrupt and, ultimately, poorly justified retcon of what had become a critical and particularly intriguing aspect of this character's development over the years.
    - The introduction of a lame teenage sidekick was never properly set-up or even in-character for Daredevil, imo, and too much of his run has been devoted to story-arcs that try to make the audience care about this character.
    - The transition to prosecutor was completely out of character as well (for 60 years the dichotomy of a vigilante crime-fighter / courtroom criminal-defender was literally one of the most interesting things about the character) and he never even did anything with it, except to lead in to that "groundbreaking" Supreme Court storyline about superhero testimony that...was never mentioned again.
    - Fisk becoming Mayor literally happened off-panel, is an absolutely absurd concept in-universe, and was clearly a last-minute pivot to make the book seem "topical" because of Trump's election.
    - The villains that he's introduced (Muse, Hand-Jabba-demon, stupid-ass Tenfingers, another blind lawyer named...Legal) are weak in concept and execution and will never be seen again, including bone-knife man with a catholic cloak that we saw in the latest issue.

Overall, I'd say that instead of building off of the character's history and previous writers' work with the series, which is what better writers before him did really well, he's obviously been trying too hard to put his own mark on the character (so many stupid Inhumans!) and, in my opinion (I'm sure I can't stress that enough), he hasn't done anything particularly well or memorably. I think it speaks volumes that interest in the character is peaking and sales of the book have clumped considerably. It's not even a good run. It's far from the best.

You're entitled to your own opinion, I respect that, and your love for the character is clear. Perhaps I'm a bit too harsh on this writer. Perhaps I'm just bitter and mad at myself that I've been compelled to keep buying a series that I don't enjoy anymore. But, anyway, that's my own honest entitled opinion!

Conversely, I believe most of his run has been masterful and powerfully entertaining.

    - The return to the secret identity was an abrupt and, ultimately, poorly justified retcon of what had become a critical and particularly intriguing aspect of this character's development over the years.
The return to the secret identity was inevitable. How Waid ended his run with Matt revealing his secret identity to the whole world was not only an extremely unwise decision but was not something that I the character would ever taking into account the obvious consequences nor could it have ever worked for any reasonable length of time. I'm under the impression Waid only went with that outlandish route because he knew with Secret Wars there'd be a relaunch of the MU and he'd have free reign to the take the character in a direction he otherwise wouldn't have been able to. Additionally, as was demonstrated in the Identity arc and made clear with common sense alone, if everyone knows he's Daredevil he himself and everyone he knows would be in constant danger. No one would be safe. And I love how Soule has the secret identity restored using the Purple Children to return for a favor to Matt for being a hero to them when they were in need.

    - The introduction of a lame teenage sidekick was never properly set-up or even in-character for Daredevil, imo, and too much of his run has been devoted to story-arcs that try to make the audience care about this character.
I was uneasy about DD taking on a partner as well but it worked for me and what helped with that is that he was never called a sidekick but instead a protege with his own identity, enemies, territory to protect, problems to overcome (personally, emotionally, and physically), and goals to achieve. DD was more of a guide to help become a his own hero than someone he wanted to emulate or constantly be in need or in the company of. Sam was quite a developed character in his own right. And, by my count, he's had only two character focused arcs and has actually been absent for the majority of the run.

I liked that as an ADA Matt's intention was to put criminals away as Matt in addition to as DD. Plus, a new job position was a nice change. Admittedly a lot wasn't done with it but the potential was there.

    - Fisk becoming Mayor literally happened off-panel, is an absolutely absurd concept in-universe, and was clearly a last-minute pivot to make the book seem "topical" because of Trump's election.
    Perhaps, but I liked it.

    - The villains that he's introduced (Muse, Hand-Jabba-demon, stupid-ass Tenfingers, another blind lawyer named...Legal) are weak in concept and execution and will never be seen again, including bone-knife man with a catholic cloak that we saw in the latest issue.
While they weren't all hits, Muse is a great exception and I do appreciate that he's consistently trying to add to DD's rather lackluster rogues gallery. And we have yet to find who this new villain is and what he's about. He could be good yet. And based on his outfit there seems to be a religious theme there. If I'm not mistaken, that's a first for DD a villain. Hat's off to Soule.

He built off Waids run remarkably well when warranted with the Identity arc.

The Identity and Dark Art arcs are outstanding. Supreme, Land Of The Blind, Mayor Murdock, and the recently concluded arc with Mike Murdock have all been absolutely stellar, too.

I don't care for the Inhumans one way or another so I don't mind their inclusion too much. There are certainly other characters I think would have been far more interesting, though.

Considering the high quality of this run I do find the sales ever perplexing. If I could explain that I would.

Given how highly I hold this run, I'm really disheartened to know you and others haven't been enjoying it. Obviously, this is one of my favorite runs on the character and am very sad it's coming to an end. Hopefully Soule's final arc will be more to your and others' liking.

Funny enougth, i actually think that "Dark Art" was his best arc so far, Muse in particular was as scary as Soule wanted to present him.

The Dark Art might be my favorite arc as well. It was the arc that sold me on Garney's art, which I didn't appreciate at first.

The art brought that arc down for me a bit but I enjoyed it, too.
