Matt Murdock: Daredevil Appreciation 2018

Has Marvel released to collections in a year where the first one doesn't come out until June? I was wondering if they were planning on slowing down the number of Daredevil collections released each year to accommodate the number of new Epic Collections being released next year.

Off the top of my head:

Thor Epic Collection Vol.23 Worldengine (june 2018)
Thor Epic Collection Vol. 5 Fall of Asgard (September 2018)

So there is still hope for one more Daredevil Epic volume next year

They're selling out at the distributor level though. Prior sales and expectations are probably why.

With 609 at least it hit the top 100 again however briefly.

Initially yes, sales will be high for the first few issues and then it depends on who the creative team are and the quality of the stories as to whether sales will diminish even lower or stay at a decent 30-40k or hopefully higher.

If Soule’s run is any indication sales aren’t always reflective of consistent high quality. I’m worried the new run may result one gimmick after another to keep sales at least above what they are now. Soule finish his run with the Death Of Daredevil and the increased interest as a result may be a portend if what’s to come, unfortunately.

Definitely nice to see. Comes full circle too. When Soule's DD #1 came out, I went to my LCS the week after and there was one issue left on the stand. I took it.

Yes, this is great news. It's just a shame they didn't include the 3 issues (#1, 6, 10) from the Marvel Edge anthology series that starred Daredevil in either this Epic or the Root of Evil Epic.
