So the next story is called "King and Queen." What do you expect?

Rogue’s getting a title which... seams odd for a super secret band of criminals to have a clause that they’d crown a random but who the hell cares — drama here we come! *rubs hands together*

I’m absolutely here for issue 6 and how it will kick off the thieves guild stuff in 11 and 12 and our Nola visiters but since we know that stuff will pick up later, I’m really looking forward to x-men party guest shenanigans and talks. I feel like someone posted awhile back that KT said that Laura and Beast would have bigger parts (I may be mixing up names though.) Hank definitely makes sense regarding Rogue’s situation, but I do love the Remy and Laura friendship so any panels between them or Rogue and Laura will be icing on the cake. (And I’ll always take more Storm too.)

But yes, I can’t wait to see how Queen Rogue reacts to everything and whether that leads to King Remy sleeping on the couch..

Very cool art. I haven't had the time to check out everyone's tumblrs yet as the app is proving kinda glitchy for me. Definitely something I need to take the time to do soon-ish.

Agree, the 5th and the 12th don't seem SO far away at least! I'm so impatient for #6! And yeah, I'll probably read all of Merry X-Men in one go and then maybe again in increments. And at least there's the weekly dose of UXM to keep me distracted as well.

This scene was just . . . Seriously this was the best scene . . . Who can not love Remy after that speech?! KT how do you just keep taking it up a notch?!

I hope at some point down the road we get to see a scene where Rogue can reciprocate with the same amazing support and devotion. But right now she's kind of got a lot to deal with . . .

I'm worried about her! Is she gonna get addicted to pain killers?! She can't wear that collar forever! And she's completely vulnerable too.

The awkward moment at the end threw me at first, but it really made sense for where their heads are at . . . Especially Rogue. I kind of wanted him to carry her over the threshold romantically and whisk her into the bedroom! But it's definitely not the right mood for that after all they've been through.

So...Rogue has been subjected to an involuntary evolution of her powers by an alien in space in an X-Men book. Hmmm...Where have we seen this sort this thing before? (Rubs chin with thumb and forefingers.) I got it: 1982. (We all remember where we were in late fall/ early winter of 1982. Me, I was a senior in high school, enjoying a wonderful Elnio Christmas here in West Michigan. 65 degrees on Christmas.) Here is a summary of the 2 issues, dated November/December 1982:

Speaking of Evolved, the term to me seems to imply they are developing into something better. Automobiles have evolved. Aircraft have evolved. Even cell phones have evolved. I can remember when the first crude cell phones came out in the mid-1980s. They were nicknamed "The Brick", because they were literally that big:
