Long live the infamous Doctor Doom thread!
Thanks for starting this again, guys! I was out most of the day. That looks like Maleev is still doing some Doom stuff even though he's not working on a title with him at the moment. Or it's someone with a very similar style!

I'll contribute with one by Arthur Adams

Stan Lee Meets Doctor Doom – one shot December 2006. *** Amusing and ties in to continuity in interesting ways.

Iron Man: Legacy of Doom 1 – 4 (Limited Series) April 2008; Iron Man and Doctor Doom tangle again over fragments of Excalibur, magic and science do battle. ****

Doctor Doom & the Masters of Evil 1 – 4 (Limited Series) January 2009 **** A fun mini series aimed at all ages. Great individual moments downgraded by inconsistent art.

Fall of Hulks: Alpha one shot, Feb-10 “Meeting of the Minds” The Intelligentsia gather knowledge from the world, Doom keeps it. Fall of Hulks was difficult to follow unless you got all of the Hulk titles, but this one-shot was a particularly nice showing for Doom. **

Spider-Man & the Secret Wars 1 – 4 (Limited Series) January 2010 Another all-ages title, recaps Secret Wars from Spider-Mans POV, with Dr Doom; again providing a new take on a classic story. ****

Glad to see the new thread up and running. And so, as Castle Doom is often destroyed and rebuilt, we too shall rebuild!

I know it's to help the current issues at the forum and IMO it seems to be helping. But I liked the fact that we created one of the most viewed threads here on the Marvel forum. I would have to say it was at least in the top 10. I'm going to keep the link to the old one in my signature as the thread slowly gets shuffled back in the order of posts. Lots of good stuff there!

And now it's only two days until Fantastic Four relaunches and we will get some idea of what direction Slott will be taking with the Lord of Latveria. If it involves a plan for world conquest I don't think I'm going to be a happy Latverian.

Thanks to Crimz in the Fantastic Four appreciation thread for linking to an advance preview of Fantastic Four #1 that is up on Bleeding Cool .

Here's another page from the Doom story with art by Simone Bianchi. We see more detail on what happened to Doom's face and the Infamous Iron Man armor is gone. It appears he's wearing the tattered remains of the tunic and cloak from one of his older armors

Adding a screen cap from the Fantastic Four trailer on YouTube, posted again by Crimz! Thanks again!

Well first off LOVED Fantastic 4 # 1....Slott seems to get them so far....off to a great start...

Doom's return to Latveria, dialogue, everything was fantastic...one minor gripe...love his cloak and mask back BUT he says "I don't need robots or armor etc..." I know that Doom can do anything he puts his mind through, strong will and hand to guide a country, a planet or more recently, the multiverse, but I can't imagine him forever denying himself his armor and robots, an exposed chest can only be protected for only so long before he is wounded....

I wont get my issue for another day or two but that's really what he's wearing for this?

He can do anything he sets his mind to and yet he cant sew or at least conjure a new set of clothes? Also, ropes along his wrists are for.....?

Don't get me wrong, I like the art and the look is alright, but why is he Doctor Hobo now? Victor wouldn't have to worry about certain expenses considering he likely didn't exhaust his resources outside of Latveria, and he had to have some place to stay in-between handing that house off to Ben Grimm and Invincible Iron man. Besides, how was he paying for and storing his clothing and repairing his armor outside of magic? I'm just saying that as interesting a look as it is it just doesn't make sense but that being said I'm missing context for the scene.

There really isn't much context other to say we know he went back to the castle in the last issue of Infamous Iron Man but his armor was mainly intact. I noticed the rope around his wrists too and couldn't figure that out either. I would have to think that Bianchi got direction from Slott but IMO he should at least had the Infamous Iron Man armor. I think he lost his dark green cloak in the final fight with the Demon/Hood. Instead he's in rags like someone who is doing a penance or something.
